Obedience the key to effective leadership
Effective leadership is first in the act of obedient. You have to effectively follow for you to become an effective leader to exercise an effective leadership. An effective leader was once an effective follower. You can always get better by learning. You can always get good by following but you can always get better by following effectively. It is not all who claimed to follow are actually following. Effective leadership is possible because it comes with a price. Anyone who is willing to pay the price will live to become an effective leader, exhibiting an effective leadership.
Everyone can become a leader but it takes going the extra mile to learn the act to become an effective leader. Everyone can be called a leader, but not everyone is an effective leader because not everyone can display an effective leadership. Effective leader shows up in the act of an individual. People are watching you to know how effective you are. Leadership is not about leading people, but the quality of one’s leadership matters alot.
Everyone was created to be an effective leader
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Mathew chapter 4 verses 19)
Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ was an effective leader all through His journey here on earth. We can proceed to talk about one becoming an effective leader without looking deep into the legacy of our Lord Jesus Christ Who is the author of effective leader and leadership. All through His ministry here on earth, He goal is to raised men onto the Father who will live to propagate all that He had taught about God’s kingdom come to dwell on earth.
There is so much evidence about men who were nobody after a thorough walked with the Master, they became men of impact. Of course, in a normal sense no one could ever believe that those men will grow into such great and mighty men with such tremendous impacts and influence of impacting and transforming into the likeness of God, through following the teachings of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. This shows that anyone who diligently follows the teachings of Jesus Christ will some day become an effective leader.
You must learn the act to obey at all time if you desired to become an effective leader.
22 – “Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
23 – And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 – Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.” (Colosians chapter 3 verses 22 to 24)
Effective leadership is in the act of obedient. You must be willing to obey at all time if you must exhibit effective leadership. Obedience the key to effective leadership. If one does not know obedience in leadership, he or she will not experienced effective leadership. Obedience in leadership is never an accidental act, it is a carefully deliberated act. Since obedience is the key for effective leadership, it should be a cherish factor.
Every leader is defined by the effectiveness of his or her leadership.
Your leadership will reveal the kind of leader you truly are. It is by their fruits you shall know them. Leadership is not about what you are able to start, it is about what you are able to finished. How you are able to finished matters most. What makes a leadership effective is the impact it has made. The effectiveness of a leader is the impact he has made in the lives of the people. Much is expected from the leadership position, if you are not ready to lender and deliver much, you better stay away.
Leadership does not totally care how you started, it so much cares how you go about leading. No leader is define by what he was able to start, every leader is define by what he was able to finished. The beginning of every thing is so important but the ending is far much important. You need to think effective finishing from the starting point. Anyone who started a project and was not able to finished it, is regarded as a failure.
Effective leadership is all about leading people in the right path to discover purpose and live to fulfill it.
Leadership is a course of effective and efficient finished. It is not how long you have led that matters, is how many lives you have imparted that matters. If your leadership is not informing people, it is deforming people. If your leadership is not leading the people in the path of light, it is leading the people in the path of obscurity. No leadership stays on the fence. It is either you are imparting life or you are not.
“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” (John chapter 4 verses 34)
In other word, Jesus said He will do His leadership God’s own way. It is only in God’s way that one can exercise effective leadership. I know the fact that some persons can claim to be leading God’s way while they are full of emotions of their selfish interest. The genuine interest of any genuine and effective leadership is pointing people to God to help them discover oneself and live to impact lives and the society, thereby making the earth a bit better and beautiful than we met it.
It is one’s choice to be an effective leader and to exercise effective leadership.
May your days in leadership never speaks of how long you have dwell in office; may your days in leadership speak on how effective you have been. Leadership is not about occupying an office and position. Some day you will vacate that very office. What will you be remembered for? What will be say of you? May what will be say of you never be an abuse to your office. No matter what happened, what people will say matters alot.
If you are not effective in the place of leadership, you will cause more harm than good in your leadership. If it is not effective, it can’t be effective. Effective leadership is a thing of the heart. If effectiveness in leadership has not saturate the heart, it can’t flow in the outside. Your leadership processes reveal what is the state of your heart.
In conclusion:
“And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.” (Colosians chapter 4 verses 17)
When we understand that any leadership position we acquire is a privilege from God, we will live to discharge our leadership effectively. It is in individual’s responsibility to make one’s leadership to count. May your leadership be effective.
