When God offered man leadership
It pleased God to bring man into the scene and He did not bringt man forth to be a seat warmer, man came forth to assume a leadership position. Yes man was made a leader from the very beginning. That is why everyone is a born leader but to lead is an individual responsibility. That you are born a leader is not enough reason to be a leader. Though leadership flows in your lineage but you have a choice before you to live out an effective leader by accepting the responsibility.
Obviously you have a choice to take up leadership or not, but what is the need going wrong when you are there. The world problem is leadership problem. We will not discuss that in details on this very note but in subsequent topic. God knew the greatest problem in life is leadership problem. Things will continue in the state of chaos as long as the leadership is not fixed. There is need to get the leadership fixed and that is what God did with man.
That you are born a leader is not enough reason to be a leader
After the whole earth was created God knew it is absurd if every thing was allowed to flow on its own. Leadership is to provide and maintain order. There is a pattern things are meant to flow. It makes so much meaning when there is an order and pattern guiding the affairs of live and man was that agent found worthy for this very course.
Do not forget that God is the maker of heaven and earth, and He resides in heaven. Heaven is an organised place for organised people. Heaven is never a place where things are on their own. Everything is bright and beautiful because of the way things are going on there. Though I may not have visited heaven in the first place but if we diligently look at the act of creation and the Creator God Almighty, you will agree with me that God is organised.
Leadership is to provide and maintain order
All things bright and beautiful, all creation be it great or small are wise and wonderful, it is the Lord God Almighty that made them all. Now, we need to understand why God has to create man not in another image but from His own image after His likeness. God cannot offer complete leadership to angles following the scenario of what lucipher did in heaven. God still wants to be in charge to maintain the status quo of heaven here on earth. God offered man leadership.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 26)
The call to make man in God’s image after His likeness was the call to offer man leadership. Leadership is so important to God and man was found worthy to take up such an awesome position call. Of course, man was offered leadership to exercise leadership God’s own way. Yes, man has no leadership on his own except the one given to him by God Almighty.

It was of a great privilege for man to be in charge of everything created. Everything was in man’a control. Everyone is a born leader. Nobody is exempted to this honour call. You don’t have to feel leadership before should accept you are born leader. You came into scene to lead. If you fail to take up that leadership when it shows up, that might cause more harm than good.
Your true responsibility for living got you into the place of leadership. Wherever we find ourselves, God is actually providing the platform to exercise leadership. We have to honour and glorify God in exercising leadership. Leadership was never the platform for revenge and hurting people, leadership is the platform to make things right and create an atmosphere of complete order. Leadership is an honour to mankind that no one should boast.
4 – “And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
5 – So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.” (Hebrews chapter 4 verses 4 to 5)
Conclusion
You need to understand that irrespective of how you get into any leadership position, first of all it is an honour and secondly you have to glorify God in it. You are called not just to lead but to lead right.
