What do you have in your hands
I have come to find out that many people migrate from one locality to another, from one state to another without having anything in their hands to offer. You must have something in your hands to offer if you desire to succeed as a diaspora. You must ask yourself the right questions and be able to provide the right answers. Many people have made such trips without thinking wise and making the right deliberation.
Some persons think that once they traveled, everything will automatically be all right. Some persons it was as though things worked out well without much effort. But to some others, why they are struggling in life is because they do not have anything in their hands that will enable them work and acquire wealth. There is never a time wealth will fall from heaven. Every wealth that anyone desires is already here on earth never in heaven.

There was a person who learnt welding from his elder brother. He was good at it but at a point he started declining from his work, saying it is a hard work. As a young man he was encouraged him to continue with this very job but he declined saying he wants to travel out. Finally they started preparing visa for him and he succeeded to travel out.
It was a thing of joy for the family that this particular person is now at abroad. Not until some months passed without any source of income. When hunger stepped in he could not figure out what to do. He began to asking himself what is in his hands. It was then he realised that he has a skill. Right away he started purchasing the equipment for welding.
You can’t assume there is a job waiting for you somewhere you have never visit before
The same work he declined here in the country and vowed never to have anything to do with it, is the same job that he picked up abroad for survival. Some places can be more hostile than where you are coming from in terms of job opportunities. You can’t assume there is a job waiting for you somewhere you have never visit before. You get to prepare for the uncertainty.
Today he is doing great abroad, not by searching for job but by deploying what is in his hands. He has a good job to take care of his wife and children. What would have been the story of the day if he was empty handed while travelling to abroad. Many are trapped today abroad because they never believed the importance of developing a skill. The land one is travelling to has what it takes to knock such person off if he or she does not have what it takes to stand the test of time at that moment.
It is never safe to start thinking about travelling without first of all having something in your hand you can offer
You better prepare for the war before the war. Preparing for the war before the war will save one from many casualties. It is a dangerous move to travel to a land without having anything in your hand to offer. Someone once said after he made his trip abroad, that abroad is not as it sound in the country. If one is not prepared for it he or she can be swallowed up by the land. It is never safe to start thinking about travelling without first of all having something in your hand you can offer.
When one does not have anything at hand, anything can serve.
It is never how bitter kola sounds in the ear so it tastes in the mouth. Make sure you have some thing at hand for your defence when the going get tough. Because it is a strange land, anything is possible. Stop saying you just have to travel that whatever you see you will take. To some who made this very statement never lived to tell the story. It was so tough on them that they regretted making the move in the first place.
Some who did not have anything in their hands to offer to make ends meet, finally got themselves into nasty business that ended some of them into prison serving jail. When one does not have anything at hand, anything can serve. When anything can go, then that person is at the verge of putting his hands in things that is not worth it for survival.
Conclusion:
You owe it to yourself never to leave your country without having a skill you can always bounce on when the going gets tough.
