We are in God’s own class
6 – “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 – But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” (Psalms chapter 82 verses 6 to 7)
9 – “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 – And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” (Colosians chapter 2 verses 9 to 10)
The Lord God Almighty Himself has magnified the Church of Jesus Christ above all of His Creation. It was He Who placed the first man in charge of all the Works of His Hands.
“For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.” (Psalms chapter 8 verses 5)
He did this in His Sovereignty and according to His Divine Wisdom, granting all of mankind the honour of being in His Own Class.
“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” (Psalms 82 verses 6)
However, this unique privilege got lost as a result of the Fall in the garden of Eden, thereby necessitating the redemptive programme of God, which was accomplished through the Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. Through the Agency of His Sufferings, mankind was restored to his prominent position of Glory and Honour before Him.
1 – “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 – Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 – For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 – When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” (Colosians chapter 3 verses 1 to 4)
According to Psalm 8, King David became privy to a heavenly conversation, which was documented for our instruction. Within that Celestial exchange, an interesting question was asked, which is valid food for thought: “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? You have made him A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS, and You have crowned him with Glory and Honour”.
4 – “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 – For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.” (Psalms chapter 8 verses 4 to 5)
The Hebrew word translated “angel” from the english language in this Scripture is “Elohim” which literally means “the Godhead.” or the Trinity. This essential means we, as Christian believers, are in God’s Own Class.
Conclusion:
“Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.” (Psalms chapter 49 verses 20)
God did not withdrew anything creating man. As He is so are we here on earth.
