Understanding the global mission
“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.” (1Chronicles chapter 12 verses 32)
Every believer should understand that there is a global mission about the existence of each believer here on earth. We exist to solve a global problem. There was a global problem that emerged from the very moment man disobeyed the principle of God and chose to obey the word of the traitor, satan and yielded to his deception. That brought about a global problem to humanity and the earth at large.
8 – “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 – And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 – And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 – And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?” (Genesis chapter 3 verses 8 to 11)
Man eating from the very tree he was asked never to eat from brought about the downfall of man from a glorious place to a place of reproach. Man cannot imagine what he got himself into but that was a serious mess. What could make man to develop the attitude of start running away from his true Source. Sin is a reproach. Once sin stepped in, it polluted everything and caused man to lose his stand of dominion and authority over the earth.
Man was the god of the earth from the beginning of everything. Man was fully in charge when he had a cordial relationship and alignment with God Almighty. He was in complete authority when he yielded completely to the principles of God. The principles of God will always guide and keep anyone safely from the disgrace of sin which could make him or her loss his or her dominion and authority.
14 – “And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (Genesis chapter 3 verses 14 to 15)
Man had a break with his God. Because sin has stepped in, man could no longer access God as he used to do. You can imagine what man had been through all this while trying to find his way back to God Almighty. All effort to gain an access to his union with God was all abortive until the Lord Jesus Christ stepped in and paid the ultimate price for the redemption of man. The finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross and His resurrection brought about the global mission of reconciliation of man to his Maker.
The global trend goes together with the global mission. As Christians it is mandatory that we should know what we ought to do and be doing for the advancement of the kingdom. What we need to be doing for the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection and His ascension to heaven is soul winning, evangelism, mission and church planting. Don’t be encroached by this world and its system that you lost focus.
54 – “And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.
55 – And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.
56 – Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?” (Luke chapter 12 verses 54 to 56)
We are created for this very reason to continue the mission work of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ began of soul winning. The goals of Christianity is not about becoming like Jesus. Yes it is vital to hope of becoming like Jesus, but God can still use you at your level to be fulfilling the mission agenda if only you can yield properly to His leading at any moment.
The goal of Christianity is the enforcement of what Jesus had accomplished for the depopulating of hell to populate heaven. We are saved as Christians to be a vessel to be used to save others. There are people who are your responsibility. You can’t take it away, you are in for a global mission and you have what it takes to accomplish your mission in this global agenda.
Conclusion
“But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” (2Timothy chapter 4 verses 5)
You are so relevant in this global mission. You don’t have to fail God. In your own little way, do the work of evangelist. People need to hear the good news through you. There are people who you are their responsibility. May you live to reach out to them.
