Understanding the essence of keeping boundaries
In the journey of life and to fulfill destiny, it is paramount that we understand certain boundaries and keep to them. Boundary is just demarcation between two places or territories. It is very important to observe boundary so that one will not trespass into another territory where he or she will become a victim. Let your boundaries put you in proper order and keep you in check.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs chapter 1 verses 7)
One of the greatest challenges in life is not that there is no boundaries to be observed, one of the greatest challenges in life is when one trespass the boundary and still believes he or she will go scout free. There are places you are made to be and there places you are made not to be. Any time someone leaves where he or she is made to be and trespass where he or she was never meant to be, he or she becomes venerable.
Let your boundary put you in proper order and keep you in check.
There are issues and places in life that you don’t need much explanation from any one for you to observe and know they are never safe for you. You cannot be treading with eagles and will not learn how to soar. Likewise you cannot be treading with wolves and never learn how to bark. Never you say you want to soar like the eagles in all your endeavours, yet your closest associations are the company of wolves.
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” (Proverbs chapter 13 verses 20)
If your desire is to be wise, you must seek the company of the wise. Stop playing sentiment with destiny thinking you can just navigate through life and get to your desire destination accidentally. Life is what you pay much attention to you attract to yourself. The company of fool will never elevate, the company of fools will always end in humiliation, pains and demotion.

Be careful on the environment you are taking a walk through. It might seem safe to you at the moment but that does not guarantee complete safety. There is an adage that says, ‘No matter how hungry a goat is, searching for food in the middle of the forest is never safe because there are others wild animals. Understand your boundary and make sure you keep to it if you must live a successful and fulfilled life.
The company of fools shall be destroyed! If you understand this fact, why then are you still mingling with that relationship. Since you joined them there is nothing good you have learnt from them, yet you are still there wasting time. Yes, they never taught you any moral act but they are full of immorality. You who used to be shy and well behaved suddenly pass your boundary and start to mingle with this group that taught you all manner of evil deeds.

They taught you how to go about ladies and now you are womanising. They taught you how to smoke and now there is nothing smokeable you cannot smoke. They taught you how to drink and now you are so addicted to drinking that you can’t do without drinking. You go about places each day smelling like alcohol and being pushed about by it. You who use to be decent and observed good moral upbringing suddenly grows to become an object of mockery because you’ve passed your boundary. When boundaries are not kept, disaster is inevitable. The book of 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 33 puts it this way,
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
If evil communications corrupt good manners, the company of the wise shall be wise. The company of the diligent shall be diligent. The company of great thinkers shall be great. The company you associate with will determine your out come. Be wise in choosing your company. It is never everyone you are made to mingle with. Everyone cannot be your friends. That does not mean you should keep enemy with them. It is just that everyone is not going the same direction you are going.

It is quite disgusting that one of the causes of man’s fall is tied to trespass of boundary. Eve was at the wrong place with the serpent at the time she should been some place else meditating in the Lord God Almighty. She was never meant to indulge in any discussion with the serpent. When boundary is broken, abuse steps in.
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (Genesis chapter 3 verses 1)
In conclusion
If we must be successful and live a fulfilled life, we must understand the place of boundary and stick to it. It does not matter who you are or your qualifications, you must adhere to boundaries for you to attain the greater height of your ministry, career and business. Never you assume it does not matter, that it does not matter today does not mean it wouldn’t matter tomorrow or the day after.
May we not break the boundaries that would open the doors for the serpent to bite. Every boundary one’s break has it repercussion. We have to be mindful with our journey of destiny and fulfillment as we maintain boundaries. Boundaries are in place never to humiliate one, but to put one in checked. You can imagine what life would have been like if there were no boundaries to observe. Life would have been a complete mess from every direction.
