The salvation of Naaman
1 – “Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2 – And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife.
3 – And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
4 – And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
5 – And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
6 – And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
7 – And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.” (2Kings chapter 5 verses 1 to 7)
He may have been a great fighter who the whole nation trust his ability to be their captain, but his ability cannot deliver him from his predicament
Though he is the captain of the host of the king of Syria, yet he was battling with a deadly disease. He might be a celebrity yet he had a limitation. He may have been a great fighter who the whole nation trust his ability to be their captain, but his ability cannot deliver him from his predicament. He can think on how to destroy his opponents with the sword but he cannot figure out how he will go about his health challenges at that moment. He cannot function effectively and deliver his duty efficiently been handicapped.
It was a great concern to him on how he can get healed of such terrible illness. If not that he was the captain of the host of the king of Syria, it would have been another issue all together. Many who suffered the same leprosy never had the privilege to still associate with their relatives. His own case was different because was still relevant to the king and the nation at large.
In the life of some believers there are leprosy which have being keeping them handicapped
No one can tell how long he will live with such delima. He was in the state of losing it. He was experiencing deep pain at the moment of his calamity. He knew there was no remedy for his predicament and he knew he was approaching his grave. He can’t help himself. The king can’t assist. They were in the state of deep confusion because they don’t want to lose such potential.
In the life of some believers there are leprosy which have being keeping them handicapped. There are things in their lives which are not right. They can identify them, yet they can’t provide concrete solution to them. Though they claim to have a walk with God but they fail to know the limit of their ability and having the full knowledge of what God can do. They have been going about with the belief that the predicaments they are passing through is God’s will for them.
The reason why some persons are still battling with some character deformation is because they have been taken their challenges to the wrong source
No one who is faced with such horrible challenge should ever believe that is God’s will for him or her. It is a deep lie from the pit of hell. The reason why some persons are still battling with some character deformation is because they have been taken their challenges to the wrong source. There is no way anyone will take any challenge to the wrong source who does not have what it takes to handle such challenge and still expecting good results.
Naaman must have gone to every places which was disclosed to him to get rid of his predicament. Yes, he went to all those places because he was in desperate need to be healed. That is why when the little maid came up with the suggestion of going to the prophet that is in Samaria! for him to recover him from his leprosy. He knew that he who is down fears no fall. He admitted the suggestion and was eager to pay a visit. He wanted to be free from his present state and he was willing to go the extra mile.
God always thinks the best for us.
One of the greatest challenges in the christendom is that some believers get so familiar with God that they can’t receive much and they thought it be God’s will. God is never a wicked Father that will derive pleasure in the suffering of His child. God always thinks the best for us.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah chapter 29 verses 11)
Conclusion
As a believer, you have to understand what the Will has for you if you will truly access the benefits therefore. Healing is one of the benefits in the Will. God meant the best for us, for every child of God has an inheritance in the kingdom.
