The purpose of the church in national transformation
19 – “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 – Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Mathew chapter 28 verses 19 to 20)
3 “And many people shall come and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law and instruction, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
4 And He shall judge between the nations and shall decide [disputes] for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” (Isaiah chapter 2 verses 3 to 4 AMP)
The church of Jesus Christ is not merely a physical structure or a social organization. It is a living, spiritual entity indwelled by the Holy Spirit. It comprises individuals who have surrendered to God’s Commandments and purposes, committed to fulfilling His divine mandate on earth. The Church is symbolized as the Bride of Christ, entrusted with carrying out God’s Will on earth.
Every Christian believer is a living church because the Holy Spirit dwells in him or her, which will enable him or her to shine forth the glory of Him that has called us into His marvelous light. There is a purpose tied to every living being. The reason of the purpose attached to every Christian believer made us an agent for transformation.
Every Christian believer is a mobile church. You are the church the world is seeing. You are an agent of light. When you arrive at a place where darkness engulfed, you are the light that will shine out the whole place and chase darkness far away. Everything about any Christian believer is about making the earth a much better place than we met it. There is a need we are called children of God and it is all about reflecting God’s glory.
Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian believers is never for decoration. It is for the quickening of the believer to enable him or her to live a successful and victorious Christian life. You have all it takes as a believer and the church of Christ Jesus to yield our lives in complete alignment with God’s Will for everyone so that we can live to reveal His glory at any place we find ourselves. God is always in the business of glorifying His name.
The Church being a national transformation agent, is all about proclaiming the glory of the One that created and made us in His image after His likeness, that we will live to transform the nations and make it a heaven on earth. There is no better agent for such awesome responsibility except a Christian believer. You as a Christian believer, you are more than you can ever imagine. What any believer can do is beyond his or her imagination.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John chapter 1 verses 12)
There is a power to live a successful Christian life and to be becoming a true agent for transformation that is infused every believer when we accepts the Lord Jesus Christ into one’s life as his or her personal Lord and saviour. No one can received Him, and still remain the normal person. The Holy Spirit in the life of a believer stirs him or her up for the true purpose he or she was created. Christ in a believer is the hope of glory which will result to a whole transformation.
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” (Colosians chapter 1 verses 27)
Apostle Paul on his account made it clear that there is and should be a remarkable outflow through him for transformation of lives and the society at large for the reason of Christ is in him.
“As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.” (2Corinthians chapter 11 verses 10)
Every Christian believers is the church the whole earth is waiting for, for her transformation.
16 – “And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
17 – For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
18 – And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
19 – And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
20 – I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.” (Hosea chapter 2 verses 16 to 20)
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” (Revelation chapter 21 verses 2)
