The power of wisdom
Wisdom is intangible but it rules the tangible
“Through skillful and godly Wisdom is a house (a life, a home, a family) built, and by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation],” (Proverbs chapter 24 verses 3 AMP)
We have to look and dig deep on the course of wisdom. Wisdom is a spirit. True wisdom is not know in the flesh. It is the manifestation of wisdom that is seen in the physical. Wisdom is not something that anyone can take hold off but its transformational impact is massive. Wisdom is intangible but it rules the tangible. This is one factor no individual can do without.
You have to seek for wisdom if you will live to make any impact in your society.
In the midst of a choas, wisdom is all that is needed to be able to change the course of things. Everything that is ever built and established is done on the basis of wisdom. Wisdom is the key changer of whatever anyone ever desires to change. You have to seek for wisdom if you will live to make any impact in your society. Anything that makes one think he or she does not need wisdom to be able to navigate through the issue of life is never right.
Let us look at it, the scripture above said through wisdom a house is built. A house is one thing anyone cannot do without. Everyone needs a house for shelter. It is recognised that the respect of a man is a house. It is never about how much wealth a man has acquired that defines him; it is never about how many luxurious cars he has that defines him; it is the house he has built proves how wise he is. People will always acknowledge that one is wealthy but they will long to know more about the mansion he has erects.
Everyone needs a place of shelter and it takes wisdom for one to be able to build.
If through wisdom a house is built, that means it takes wisdom to be able to meet one of the most vital need in an individual’s life. This simply inspires that without wisdom a house cannot be built. You see, when people go about doing all they are doing without a place of shelter, that is a great pain in the heart of any reasonable person. Everyone needs a place of shelter and it takes wisdom for one to be able to build.
Here is another interesting point in “through wisdom a house is built”. A house is an individual’s greatest place of security. You can imagine about those who sleep by the road side, in front of a shop all through the night without minding what will befall him or her. There are people who sleep under the bridge without knowing what might befall them. They never know if a car will run into them which might cause disaster.
The defence of a man is very important to him and the members of his household.
A house is a place of safety and protection. People walk into their home and shut the door against strangers. When a visitor comes, he or she has to knock waiting for a respond from the owner. No one has the right to barge into someone house without the permission of the owner. The bible now says that it is through wisdom that a house is built. Therefore if there is anything anyone is seeking for, that should be seeking for wisdom.
A house is a place of defence. If a house is a place of defence and through wisdom a house is built. This simply means that wisdom is a defence. When you have a house, I believe you will be mindful about all the exit points. The doors and the windows is very important to avoid unnecessary intruder. The defence of a man is very important to him and the members of his household.
To build the house of God requires wisdom
We have talked about the physical, let us look at the spiritual aspect as we bring this episode to an end. Our body is the house of God. We are mobile altars. To build the house of God requires wisdom. The scripture above made it clear that there is no other way the house can be effectively built except through wisdom. One who wants to build his house which is the temple of God must do so through wisdom.
Wisdom makes an individual. There are people who are so mindful about their complexion. That is why some persons go above and beyond to change their complexion from the original complexion God had given them. You can see how driven some persons are about certain things which are not of any valueable impact but just that they want to belong. Little do they know that acquiring wisdom can stop and clear all this madness of trying to force oneself on people. When you have wisdom, people will be willing to be around you.
Conclusion
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Proverbs chapter 4 verses 7)
Wisdom is like honey. Once you have it, it will attract so many people to you. Wisdom will develop and announce you. It is your responsibility to pay the price in cultivating wisdom. If through wisdom a house is built, that means with wisdom one can buy anything.
