The power of faith that works
1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 – For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 – Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 – By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 – By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 – By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 – By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 – By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 – For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 – Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.” (Hebrews chapter 11 verses 1 to 11)
Faith is believing, hoping and total dependence on God till one’s desires and expectations come into reality.
You don’t need to understand the process but you get you believe that God will well able even when things are falling apart and it is as though nothing good can show up. It is in individual’s responsibility to hope for best irrespective of all odds. Even in the midst of the storms one get to prove his or her dependence on God and what He is able to do.
It is in your power and it is individual’s responsibility to keep one’s faith alive in the midst of circumstances.
Faith is never about where you are standing at the moment. Faith is about where you are believing and trusting God to be. Where you stand at the moment might be so distorted that it seems as though nothing good can come out of it. Faith demands you stand by what you believe, trusting and hoping for the best.
Never you forget that the situations surrounding you at the moment, once surrounded God Almighty. The thoughts you are thinking now on how to deal with it was the same thoughts God had when confronted with ugly situations during the creation of the earth. Faith demands you keep the pictures of the pleasant ending in view. It is in your power and it is individual’s responsibility to keep one’s faith alive in the midst of circumstances.
Faith is the fuel that keeps the believer going even in the midst of storm and arrives victorious.
In every situation we find ourselves, it is our obligation to realise we are fashioned, designed and made in the image of God Almighty. Been created in the image of God Almighty, we are to operate the same way God operates and act in the same manner God should act if He was to be confronted with any situation. We can’t be created by a great God that made the whole universe possible by calling forth things that were not as though they were, and not exercising the same functionality.
God operated in full faith when He stepped out for creation. We are to operate in full faith being God representative here on earth to do His will. The first factor to operate in God’s will is to act in faith. Everything in the kingdom is possible by faith. Nothing that is done outside faith will have any significant impact in the lives of the people and society at large. Faith is the fuel that keeps the believer going even in the midst of storm and arrives victorious.
16 – “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 – As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” (Romans chapter 4 verses 16 to 17)
No one can attend to an enviable height who is not first a person of faith
There is no one who ever became great who did not operate on the bases of faith to be able to attend such envious heights. Faith is not just a force but a substance of hope. Once you are a person of faith, though the turbulence of life will so much hit as though there is nothing to hope for, but yet in the midst of all these there is hope that to keep the faith alive. The most venerable person is someone whose faith has been defeated.
Guide your faith with all diligence. It is a heart thing. It does not flow from the flesh but from the spirit. No one can attend to an enviable height who is not first a person of faith. Those who walked before us acted through faith and they were able to achieved tremendous impacts and results. It is the same faith at work.
Conclusion
If faith has yielded tremendous results in the time past, it can do the same in the present time. The faith that works in the one puts into action. If it is not put to work, it can’t yield.
“Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” (James chapter 2 verses 18)
