The essence of effective service
13 – “Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14 – Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15 – And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16 – Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 – And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 – Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.” (Malachi chapter 3 verses 13 to 18)
You are made an agent for service and it is your responsibility to make yourself relevant by embracing service.
There is joy in service and not only service but effective one. Everyone was ever created to serve. You must serve. Service is the essence of life and living. There is no living without service. Anyone who ever desires to live must be a person of service. From the very beginning man was created, the ultimate idea was that man will exercise full service to display authority over everything that was created.
Man was created a candidate of service. No one can separate man and service. Everything about man entitlement must come from the place of service. If one ever take away service from man, Man will end up marking time all through his or her life without having anything productive to show for it. You are made an agent for service and it is your responsibility to make yourself relevant by embracing service.
It is important to note that man was blessed for service.
It is obvious that a life that is out of service can be attributed as a life out of purpose. If you are not in service, that means you are not on the right track to fulfilling purpose. One’s true purpose can be discovered from the act of service. Be a person of service through embracing service and you will find yourself being fulfilled by the reason you are doing something to impact lives and the society at large.
27 – “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 27 to 28)
It is important to note that man was blessed for service. Hallelujah! Man has the service blessing. That simply means that man was equipped for this very course to service. Apparently, the blessing of God upon a man is for service. Man will only be fruitful if he or she understands individual place in service. Man will experience multiplication if he or she embraces the act of service. Man will replenish the earth if he or she lives for service. Man will subdue the earth if he or she dwells in effective service. Man will then exercise dominion when he or she loves and lives for effective service.
Whatever is the Will of God concerning man and the kingdom earth is in his power to enforce it into place.
From the very beginning of creation God had been in active service. It is not as though God has retired from active service, but there is division of labour. There is the part of God and there is the part of man. God will never do the service of man here on earth. Whatever is the Will of God concerning man and the kingdom earth is in his power to enforce it into place. If man fails in his place of service, that can elude the plans of God to come to pass.
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis chapter 2 verses 7)
It was the breath of service that God breathed into man and he became a living soul. This simply means that man would have been a living soul if the breathe of service was not breathed into his nostrils. It is disastrous to take service away from man. Man cannot do without service. The essence of man living is service. Failure in the place of service can result to a complete failure.
There is a place of service for everyone. Stop living your life with the thought you are not sure what you are created to do. In the midst of confusion in discovering purpose, get yourself into service. It will shock you how happy you will become by getting involved into service. There is no service you get yourself into that will leave you the same. You must gain experience and wisdom for getting involved into service.
Conclusion:
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1Corianthians chapter 15 verses 58)
You never can tell of how much you are robbing yourself for not taking part in service. Always see any platform of service as an opportunity and also a priviledge. Give your best to any service, you will become better and live fulfilled. Life is service and service is life.
