That I may finish my purpose
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” (2Timothy chapter 4 verses 7)
That I may finish my course is never a general responsibility but individual responsibility
The topic above is the statement for anyone reading through this episode. That I may finish my course! This is a true confession for anyone who has discovered purpose and he or she is willing to run with it. It is never a confession for the sake to fulfill all righteousness. It is never a statement to those who have not made up their heart for the course of purpose discovering and its fulfillment. It is a statement to anyone who thinks responsibility and he or she is eager to pick up that very responsibility wholeheartedly without any compromise to get it accomplished.
That I may finish my course is never a general responsibility but individual responsibility. That I may finish my course is never a general call, it is an individual call. That I may finish my course is never a general assignment, it is an individual assignment. That I may finish my course is never a general vision, it is an individual vision. That I may finish my course is never a general goal, it is an individual goal. To be able to finish one’s course, one needs to embrace it wholeheartedly as though that is his or her life.
That I may finish my course calls for a huge sacrifice
“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” (Acts chapter 20 verses 24)
That I may finish my course is never a course and time to plan sentiment. That I may finish my course calls for personal discipline. Such discipline can be attributed as you have to be responsible for your discipleship. That I may finish my course calls for a huge sacrifice. It must cause an individual everything for him or her to properly align on the right track to finish one’s course. Apparently this course must cost you for it to profit you.
You must surrender your will to the Will of the Master if you dare to finish your course
That I may finish my course drains self will. No one who is still parading in selfwill is yet ready for the course to get his to her course to the desire ending. You must surrender your will to the Will of the Master if you dare to finish your course. It is obvious that everyone has a course to finish. It is your course you will get it finished. It is my course I will get finished. It does not make any meaningful impact trying to help someone else fulfill his or her course while yours is laying low.
“Jesus saith unto them, ‘My Meat is to do the Will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His Work.” (John chapter 4 verses 34)
The Primary Purpose for man’s existence is to be exactly like God and to act exactly like Him. The creation of the earth brought man into a course. Man’s existence was never an accident that he should be wandering about as a ship that lost its bearing. Man was created on course, he will stay on course and he will finish his course. God created man in His image after his likeness for a course.
26 – “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 26 to 28)
Adam was God’s Image before he fell because as long as he was reflecting God’s Image, he was accomplishing God’s Purpose and Mandate rather than his own. This complies that man needs God to be able to stay on course to get it finished. From the scripture above you can see the reason why man is on course. In all that one thinks that should be on how he or she can truly discover his or her course and remain on it. In every action of an individual should be on how to get his or her course accomplished.
Conclusion:
6 – “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 – Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” (2Timothy chapter 4 verses 6 to 8)
Everything that has a beginning must have an end, and everything beginning follows a particular course in order to get to the end. This is so vital in the pursuit of our purpose in life. One major way to describe a good manufacturer is his ability to define purpose and function. The Lord God Almighty Himself was purposeful when He was creating Mankind. Mankind should be purposeful to get his course finished.
