Stir up the attitude to appreciate life

There are those who have never found any reason to appreciate life for anything. No matter how good things went their way, they always have a reason to say how it would have been. They are never satisfied with whatever nature brings to them. They live their lives enthusiastically that life has much to offer them, yet they can’t appreciate the little life is able to provide for them at the moment.

They complain about everything. They complain about bad time and also complain about good time. When they were in the country, they were complaining why they never attained to the place of been favoured is because they are the minority. In the same state while poverty crippled the mind of some persons, yet there are poor people who obtained scholarship. When people scored high mark in a particular examination, you hear them say, ‘What are they doing with all those mark?’ Of course whey they are running about trying to make up cash for their entry fee, those ones who scored high mark will be filling their scholarship form.

They live their lives with enthusiastic that life has much to offer them, yet they can’t appreciate the little life is able to provide for them at the moment.

They complained as long they are in this country, they can’t make an inch, that they need to leave the country by any means possible. Now they have succeeded to travel abroad, they are complaining about the weather and there is no job suitable for them. Of course most of them are back home without any achievement and success to show for their leaving abroad. When you point at others who made it in the same land they all travelled to, their response is always ‘Do you know what they are doing over there?’

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James chapter 1 verses 8 KJV)

You see those when served hot food they will complain the food is too hot. And the next moment their complain will be that the food is too cold for their liking. They taste the meal and start complaining that the vegetable is over done. That when they went somewhere the food served to them the vegetable was moderate which is perfect for their health. The same people when they are served salad will complain why it was not cooked at all. No matter what happens, they can never appreciate life. For such reason they can’t go far in life.

Anyone who cannot be please finds it difficult to associate with the right company. They always complain about everyone in the group. They are the only good guy among others.

You see those people when in the valley, people came over and give helping hands, yet they complained why people did not come earlier than they do to rescue them. When on the mountain, they complained they should have been on the mountain top. In bad time, they complain how rough things are; and in good time they still complain about how good things would have being. They are never satisfied. Such set of people cannot be pleased. Anyone who cannot be pleased finds it difficult to associate with the right company. They always complain about everyone in the group. They are the only good guy among others.

Appreciation should be an attitude. Whether things turn out good or bad one should learn to keep the right attitude to be happy. One’s happiness should not be determined by the occurrence that happens around the person, it should be a thing of the heart. When the going is smooth, be happy. When the going gets tough also be happy. You should realise as a diaspora that the God in the bad time is also the God in the good time. The God on the mountain is still the God in the valley.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians chapter 4 verses 8 KJV)

Conclusion:

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” (James chapter 4 verses 8 KJV)
