Stir up an attitude of accountability
The attitude of accountability is actively embraces one’s responsibility and diligently pursuit it to its fulfillment.
It is wise to capture the full meaning of accountability to enable us to be mindful the way we go about our individual responsibility. Accountability is giving a reckoning for one’s conduct and report on one’s progress. When you are conscious of the fact you are going to give an account on each responsibility brought your way, you will make good use of every opportunity. There is never a good report or accountability without a successful outcome of a given responsibility.
The five talents and two talents young men must have happily met each other and discussed how well and the progress of their respectively talents.
“I can’t believe myself on the amazing progress I have made so far,” the five talents said happily. “Is shocking, you can’t believe I have been able to double what our master gave me.”
“I have no reason not to believe you. I have equally double what he gave me too,” he said, joyfully. “I can’t wait any more for the return of our master.”
“Me too,” he smiles.
“I am happy we did not waste our master resources and as well did not betray his trust towards us. I can tell you,’ tapping his chest. ‘I did my best to double what our master handed over to me and it ended up a success.”
They are joyfully waiting for the return of their master to present an account.
Jesus our role model was willing accountable to the Father when He was on earth. He continually referred to His accountability to the Father when He said,
“My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” (John chapter 4 verses 34).
Paul referred to his accountability to Jesus when he said,
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians chapter 1 verses 21).
The rightful discharge of one’s responsibility attracts a worthy accountability.
