Discipline is a powerful tool to successful relationship
It is obvious we are created to be relational being. We get to mingle with one another and loving one another. No matter how you try to flow with everyone, you can’t flow with everyone. That is human being for you. That we are created relational being does not mean that we will relate with everyone that comes our way. Things are not done that way. People can’t just relate with you because you think everyone has to relate with everyone.
“And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” (Mark chapter 12 verses 31)
The scripture above is not to raise any dust of controversy but to direct some issues in one’s heart pertaining the matter of relating with one another. The bible says we should love one another. Take proper note of what the bible says, the bible says we should love another but the bible never says you should be in relationship with one another. Let us clear this fact for simplicity and better understanding.
When someone you are in relationship with declines your greetings or text messages that becomes a concern to you
To love one another does not mean you should be in relationship with one another. Love another simply means to be in good terms with one another. Relating with one another demands more effort and energy. You can love anyone but you can’t relate with everyone. When I walk into a group of guys discussing, because I know one person in the group, I have to shake everyone of them. That is my hand shake of love extended to them. You see, that does not mean we are relating.
You must understand the fact that relationship is deep. If someone you meet today extends a hand shake of greetings and he or she declined, it would not pain you much because you are trying to extend your love to someone who never appreciates it. But that is different with someone you are in relationship with. When someone you are in relationship with declines your greetings or text messages that becomes a concern to you.
When you are serious for a serious relationship, you should know
Now to avail ourselves some heart break in any relationship we venture into, discipline is one of the power tool to deploy. You can’t continue to say you need a serious relationship when if you were to open up to yourself and be truthful to yourself, you will assure yourself that you are not serious. You can’t be unserious seeking for someone who gamble into a serious relationship with you.
When you are serious for a serious relationship, you should know. There is no two ways about that. You will attract who you are. Peradventure you attract someone who is serious about the relationship, your unseriousness will definitely cause that relationship to get sour. If you need a serious relationship, you must first of all discipline yourself so seriously to be serious waiting for a serious partner.
Discipline is vital in the life of everyone who dare to engage in a any serious relationship. You can’t continue with hook up life and be trusting God for a serious relationship. Things does not work out that way. Anyone who encounters you in the process of hook up already has a clear picture of your personality and he or she already know what he or she wants from you. You can’t be seeking for a serious relationship and at the same time trading through the path and among debauched people.
You can’t develop a wounded heart from past relationship and now you claim to venture into a serious relationship, you must subject yourself under discipline to get your heart healed before you venture into such relationship.
It is ridiculous that some persons cannot ever accept themselves, yet they are seeking for acceptance. Who did you want to accept you? You know if yourself were to be duplicate, you will not accept to take in your other self. Not because it is same self, it is because you understand yourself and life is miserable. You can’t develop a wounded heart from past relationship and now you claim to venture into a serious relationship, you must subject yourself under discipline to get your heart healed before you venture into such relationship.
If you ever venture into a relationship with a wounded heart, even if you are with someone with a healed heart, you will end up frustrating such relationship. If care is not taken that relationship will become history in no distance time. True relationship is never a game of sentiment, true relationship is a game of serious minded people. To be a serious minded person, discipline must have played its role and still playing.

Yielding oneself under discipline is never pleasant. But that is one of the tools to attract the right kind of people your way. Character smells. It smells good. When people come around a discipline person, they will know. Live a disciplined life, you will attract the right person and live the rest of your life enjoying your relationship.
