RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE KINGDOM

Responsibilities in the kingdom

  1. Do not worship any other thing except God.

3 – “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 – Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 – Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” (Exodus chapter 20 verses 3 to 5)

  1. You have to make an unquantifiable commitment to God.

“Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.” (1Kings chapter 8 verses 61)

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” (2Timothy chapter 1 verses 12)

God must come first in ever thing that we do.

  1. You must live a satisfied life.

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” (James chapter 4 verses 4)

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Mathew chapter 5 verses 6)

This is a life of separating oneself from sin. Friendship with the world is an enmity with God.

  1. You must walk in love.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans chapter 5 verses 6)

This is the agape love, God’s kind of love. It is an unconventional love. Jesus hates sin but loves sinners.

7 – “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 – He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 – In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 – Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 – Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 – No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 – Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 – And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 – Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 – And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 – Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18 – There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 – We love him, because he first loved us.

20 – If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21 – And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” (1John chapter 4 verses 7 to 21)

  1. You must fund the kingdom needs.

16 – “Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

17 – Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.” (Zachariah chapter 1 verses 16 to 17)

  1. You must preach the gospel.

18 – “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 – Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Mathew chapter 28 verses 18 to 20)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans chapter 1 verses 16)
