Powerful tools for the journey of faith
10 – “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 – Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 – Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 – Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 – And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 – Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 – And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 – Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians chapter 6 verses 10 to 18)
Life is first in the spirit before manifestation of the physical.
The Christian believer’s journey is more of the journey of faith than it is in the physical. Once faith is involved, it simply implies that one does not have or need to approach issues based on the physical. The issues of the Christian believer’s journey must first be handled in the spirit realm for him or her to experience and become victorious in the physical. Every Christian believer should stir up the right understanding to take proper charge of his or her spiritual life.
The forces of this life that are striving all the time to humiliate humanity and elude one from having a genuine walk with God and fulfilling purpose, are all spirit beings. We need to understand that everything was first in the state of the spirit before God began to create things in the physical. Life is first in the spirit before manifestation of the physical. Every Christian believer is to make and mount maximum observation in his or her spirit life.
Everything that is applicable to life are good when one can afford them.
There are things that matters in life but should not be the high priority in our journey of faith. For one to look good is nice. Get one’s hair cut or well dressed is nice. Putting on decent expensive cloth if you can afford it is nice. Getting a good car is nice. Getting a good apartment is nice. Everything that is applicable to life are good when one can afford them. But it is never meant to determine our Christian journey of faith. If all these things are not available at the moment, we should go ahead to trust God knowing full well that He is going to provide everything at the right time.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men ‘s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” (Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verses 11 AMP)
- GOD’S WORD:
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua chapter 1 verses 8)
God’s Word is the Holy Bible that is made available as a guide to run the Christian faith journey effectively and efficiently. The Word of God is the source of encouragement in the Christian faith journey. The Holy Bible is also filled with amazing promises of favour, provision and abundance when we learn to spend quality time dwelling in and on God’s Word. When we spend quality time meditating on God’s Word and go into action by declaring it will help the Christian believer claim what is ours.
- PRAYER:
6 – “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 – And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians chapter 4 verses 6 to 7)
To effectively fulfill the Christian journey of faith requires one to be fervent in prayer. One of the greatest keys to align into God’s plans for an individual’s Christian faith after being obedient is observing a fervent prayer life. No Christian believer can do much without having a prayer life. Prayer is the vehicle of the Christian journey. When one miss out in the place of prayer, that could result in disaster fulfilling purpose. It is through observing heartfelt consistent prayer, the Christian believers can be able to invite and deploy God’s intervention into the challenges of life and grant us victory in every aspect of life.
- FAITH:
1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 – For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 – Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 – By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 – By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews chapter 11 verses 1 to 6)
Men and women who went through the Christian journey of faith successfully went through this journey by wholeheartedly embracing God’s Word in their heart that reflected in their action. The walk of the Christian faith is to be done without any entertainment of doubt. We must believe and trust God when things are good and right. We must also believe and trust God when things are bad and rough. In every situation, we must learn to keep our faith on God. That is the only way our Christian faith journey will not be stunted.
- THE HOLY SPIRIT:
“But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.” (John chapter 14 verses 26 AMP)
Holy Spirit is Jesus unlimited making the Christian faith journey with us. We are never alone in this journey, and one greatest favour we are going to be constantly observing is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to assist us with the provision of wisdom, guidance and empowerment to help the believer’s in all challenges of life.
Conclusion:
27 – “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
28 – And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.” (Psalms chapter 35 verses 27 to 28)
God is delighted in our prosperity. It is our responsibility to take up the charge to exercise authority over any hindrance from the devil and challenges of life from stopping us.
