Living a life of purpose
Why we talk about living a life of purpose, is not as if you are being asked to start thinking on the line to live your life on purpose. What we are trying to achieve is to remind you that your life was actually established, created and released on purpose. You have to ask yourself certain questions which are vital to get you to rethink and get your life on the track to fulfill purpose. Life is more than just living. Life is not all about living, life is all about purpose.
What is life all about? Why am I living? What is the essence of living? How was I found worthy to be given such life? Is life truly a gift? Is it a privilege to live? I believe if one can ask the right questions, he or she can find the right answer. Life was given not to waste it. Life was given not for one to just live it. Life was given not for one to experience living. Life was given on purpose.
Life is not all about living, life is all about purpose.
It is obvious no one can find the true meaning of life out of purpose. Life was given for a purpose. Life for given for a specific course. Life was given for one to live to reflect God’s glory. According to the book of John chapter 6 from verses 38 Jesus said,
38 – For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me..
39 – And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 – And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
According to the teachings of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, He said that life is all about doing the will of Him that had chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: (Ephesians chapter 1 verses 4). Life is a precious commodity. If really it was given to us, we should seek why it was given to us. Many desire it yet they were unable to experience it and here we are not truly knowing the value of life.
Life was given for one to live to reflect God’s glory
Most of the people only understand the value of life when they are taken to hospital as a result of illness and doctor insists that he or she will be hospitalised. As he or she receives treatment, his or her major concern is not about the treatment, or drug or the bill to pay. Their major concern is that why must he or she be receiving treatment laying on the hospital. This thought comes up as they have regained consciousness. If it happens that someone in the same ward dies, in fact that very moment he or she will seek for discharge. Even when the doctor is trying to convince him or her on the reason to stay, that will not make sense at the moment because the thought in the person head is that he or she might be the next victim to die.
Jesus said the essence of life is purpose. The essence of living is purpose. Once we live our lives on the consciousness to do the will of the Lord God Almighty, we will be preserved. There is no one who lived a life of purpose who is afraid of death. Life is all about doing the will of God. There is nothing more to life if you live it out of purpose. There is a work you are meant to do. There is something significant about your life and you own it to this generation.
The essence of living is purpose
4 – I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 – As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John chapter 9 verses 4 to 5)
Life of purpose is not your will; it is the will of our Creator. You have to align your will to the will of the Father for you to experience a life of purpose. There is no true purpose in life trying to align to your will. The true purpose in life and the joy of living is aligning in God’s will then you will discover the true purpose of your life.
Conclusion
If the purpose of life is just living, life would have been a total mess up. God wants and will always want to reflect His glory through us. Let the will of God Almighty be done in your life.
