Leadership with God
26 – “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 26 to 28)
Nothing was lacking for man to display perfect leadership
It is so interesting to know that God made man in the class of leadership with him. Everyother living creature was never found to take the place of leadership here on earth. Not even the beast that move about the place could serve the purpose of leadership over every living creature. Not even the birds of the air could merge such unique placement of leadership to govern the rest of the creatures.
Man created in the image after God’s likeness was created into the fulness of God. Nothing was withheld when man was created. God deployed everything in bringing man into the scene. The wisdom and knowledge to run the affairs of the earth effectively was bestowed on man. Nothing was lacking for man to display perfect leadership. That was made to be a smooth kind of leadership with a display of God’s glory.
God made man in the same class with Him that man will exercise leadership in the same class as He is
God created man in the same class with Him so that man can exercise leadership on earth the same way leadership is run in heaven. Leadership from its original aspect is all about revealing God’s glory. Earth is the mirror of heaven. Leadership of man was designed to be leadership that would reveal the same kind of leadership going on in heaven. Earth was created to be an extension of heaven.
We have to come to the full knowledge that man looks like God. Though we will understand it better bye and bye. It is also a clear fact that man is the fourth person among the Trinity. There is something common between God and man. Man was designed and fashioned in God’s image. God made man in the same class with Him that man will exercise leadership in the same class as He is.
No other being has the tendency and capacity to flow the glory of God perfectly except man
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” (1John chapter 4 verses 17)
As God is in heaven is exercising competent leadership, so we are made to exercise competent leadership here on earth. Everything that God made is still as they were. It is only man that has changed. The original plan of God concerning man and the planet earth is that the glory of the God Almighty will cover the earth as water covered the sea through the leadership of man. No other being has the tendency and capacity to flow the glory of God perfectly except man.
God’s kind of leadership should be man’s kind of leadership
4 “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him?
5 Yet You have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet: (Psalms chapter 8 verses 4 to 6 AMP)
God is so mindful about humanity and God so much care about him. God wants His glory to constantly flow through man. Man is made the true representative of God Almighty and his leadership should be top notch as the one who has a direct connection with God Almighty. God so much cares about man that He does not want man to miss out when it comes to leadership. God’s kind of leadership should be man’s kind of leadership.
We need to trace our path back to God’s kind of leadership if we will live to exercise effective leadership. It is only our genuine alignment with God that will guarantee genuine leadership. The virtue to exercise genuine and effective leadership flows in chain. Once one desires to exercise effective leadership, he or she must have a proper alignment with the One that is the author of leadership.
Conclusion:
“Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.” (2Corinthians chapter 10 verses 7)
Since we are created in the image after God’s likeness, we are to exercise leadership God’s way. It is in exercising leadership God’s way that we can enforce the Will of God here on earth and thereby making the earth a better place than we met it.
