How to succeed in relationship
1. You must have a relationship with God.
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John chapter 15 verses 1)
2. You must cultivate values:
“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” (1Peter chapter 3 verses 7)
3. You must cultivate the value to help you to select friends:
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” (1Corianthians chapter 15 verses 33)
4. You must cultivate the value to plan:
28 – “So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 – For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:” (Ephesians chapter 5 verses 28 to 29)
5. You must cultivate the value to be truthful:
“Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.” (2Corinthians chapter 8 verses 21)
6. You must cultivate the value to discipline yourself:
10 – “He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
11 – If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” (Job chapter 36 verses 10 to 11)
7. You must cultivate the value to be faithful.
“Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?” (Proverbs chapter 20 verses 6)
8. You must be a home-maker:
“The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.” (Proverbs chapter 12 verses 5)
9. You must have communication skills:
“Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.” (Galatians chapter 6 verses 6)
10. You must be industrious:
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” (Proverbs chapter 22 verses 29)
“Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.” (Proverbs chapter 27 verses 23)
11. You must be friendly:
“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:” (Proverbs chapter 3 verses 3)
12. You must deal with internal wound:
“The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” (Proverbs chapter 18 verses 14)
