How to boast your spiritual man

  1. You have to maintain a contact prayer life:

28 – “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 – He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 – Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:31 – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah chapter 40 verses 28 to 31)

  1. You have to live a fasting life always:

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” (Mathew chapter 17 verses 21)

  1. You have to live a life of faith:

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Mathew chapter 17 verses 20)

  1. You have to deal with doubt:

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” (Mark chapter 11 verses 23)

  1. You have to constantly study God’s word:

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua chapter 1 verses 8)

  1. You have to discipline your body through self denial:

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1Corianthians chapter 9 verses 27)

  1. You have to avoid too much gisting:

“In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.” (Proverbs chapter 10 verses 19)

  1. You have to develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit:

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans chapter 8 verses 11)

  1. You have to live your life according to the scripture:

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” (1Timothy chapter 6 verses 6)

  1. You have to engage in a daily self examination:

“Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.” (Psalms chapter 26 verses 2)

“But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” (1Timothy chapter 3 verses 15)

Conclusion:

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (John chapter 15 verses 16)

It is individual’s responsibility to boast one’s spiritual life. God has called everyone and been called is never enough. We have to yield to the calling individually to be able to live out God’s glory. Dr David Ogbueli will always say, “Any responsibility that keeps hundred percent responsibility on God is irresponsible.”
