Holy living
The fear of God is the licence for holy living.
“He made all things beautiful in his time.” (Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verses 11A)
It is not as though God is placing an illegal demand of living a holy and righteous life from man which is against man’s will. Holy living is a reciprocal. God never asked man to do or get involve into what He has not done or get involved. God is holy and those that will have a walk with Him must be holy. God cannot reduce His standard of holy because of man.
“Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.” (Psalms chapter 99 verses 9 KJV)
Holy living is a reciprocal
God is the anchor of everything made. God first ascribed full honour to humanity. The ultimate honour was displayed by God to human. He made all things beautiful, not for His consumption, but for man comfort and satisfaction. All He demanded is for man to be holy. For man to maintain a genuine relationship with God and to remain in the same class with God, holy living is highly needed. Holy and righteous living is not a talent, it is a life style every believer must cultivate. For without it, no one is eligible to see God.
“Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews chapter 12 verses 14 NIV)
Holy living is highly needed
Creatures were holy at the arrival of man. At the accomplishment of each day, God said, “It is good.” Good for what? For His dwelling, certainly not. But good for man’s dwelling. God had the complete picture of heaven in mind while creating the earth. Of course heaven is a holy place and so was the earth when God fully handle it. Earth was a complete reflection of the earth. Earth was fashioned, designed and made to be well suitable to reflect the glory of heaven. Once again I repeat, earth was a complete reflection of heaven.
God cannot descend low. Earth must be built to the standard that God Almighty can dwell in, in the kind of man. God created a kingdom for man kind which no one else has the capacity to inspect except God. Living a holy and righteous is having an exceptional standing with God. Nothing in life is as risky and dangerous like not having a right standing with God. That can make man vulnerable. God in His infinite mercy will help us to cultivate such a highly needed believer’s life style.
“If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” (1 Corinthians chapter 3 verses 17 KJV)
Earth must be built to the standard that God Almighty can dwell in, in the kind of man
You can see the temple of God which we are was made holy before the fall of man. Thanks to God that provided a route of which anyone can reconcile with God and be able to live and a maintain a holy life through embracing the finished work of Christ on the cross.
When God was set to create a kingdom for man kind, He had the best in mind. Let us have a close look at creation to pictured some mysteries that can truely prove that God exhibited the ultimate honour to humanity. In Genesis chapter one verses one,
“In the beginning God…”
Let us pause for a while and have a close look at phrase once again. In the beginning God… That means without God there wouldn’t be any beginning of human race. God is the beginning of human race and the end of it. Man began a journey on purpose to accomplished a specific course, the end of human race called for the course of accountability. The fear of God is a source, the fear of God is the only source for holy and righteous living.
Conclusion
The grace to start living a holy and righteous life is still much more available for anyone who desires holy living and live till the end. That is what the finished work of Christ Jesus and His resurrection brought to man kind. Hallelujah! We can make it to God’s class again through Jesus Christ.
