Hold onto your faith
13 – “And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house:
14 – And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:
15 – And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
16 – While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
17 – While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
18 – While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house:
19 – And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
20 – Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
21 – And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
22 – In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” (Job chapter 1 verses 13 to 22)
No matter the advice, hold onto your faith.
There are issues in life that will surface to drain one’s faith. There is a point in a man’s life when he will feels that this is too much for him. If God cannot intervene at that very moment, he will seek for solutions else where. This is the period he will have several advisers. Even those who does not have clear heart towards him will come to advise him on what to do to get rid of his present predicaments.
Anyone who was able to faced what Job faced, will surely receive advices. Even the ones that will get him into sowing his heart to the devil. Yes, there are people who aimed at dragging people to the camp of the devil. Most of the time they don’t show up when the person is comfortable, it is when he is under attack where everything is falling apart and he is seeking for the right advisers. No matter the advice, hold onto your faith.
Whatever issue anyone is facing or passing through at the moment, know it, it is the devil that came to check the person out
It is wise to know when God is at work and when devil is at work. God cannot associate Himself with dirty works. This is one fact anyone who has a walk with God should understand. God cannot be involved doing dirty work to befall anyone who believes in Him. Whatever issue anyone is facing or passing through at the moment, know it, it is the devil that came to check the person out. There is nothing in this life that will ever make God to take part in a dirty work. God is too righteous to take part in anything that will stain Him.
It was a horrible experience in the case of Job, yet in all this he hold unto his faith. He never chose the part of some persons who will go ahead to be asking questions that may end up to drain their faith. Some persons asked too many questions, received too many answers, and get confused on the right decision to make. Job understood when it comes to the issue of life challenges, it is never wise to be asking too many questions. When you ask too many questions, too many advisers will emerge.
When one focus is on God in the midst of life challenges, he has a way of gaining the strength to keep standing
Job forget about whatever that was befallen him at the moment and focus on God. That is how we as believers should act when life starts treating us badly. It is never the time to start focusing on those problems to see the devastation it has caused and the one it is yet to cause, it is time to focus of God and His Word. When one focus is on God in the midst of life challenges, he has a way of gaining the strength to keep standing. You can’t sink focusing your attention on God.
21 – “And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
22 – In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” (Job chapter 1 verses 21 to 22)
In the midst of all that has befallen him, he was busy praising God. He attributed that it is the will of God that he will loss all that he had lost for there is a greater breakthrough ahead of him. He knows where God picked him from and made him so wealthy. He acknowledged that nothing in this life has what it takes to snatch the blessing of God upon his life without the full permission of God Almighty. In all, his faith was in tight with God.
Conclusion:
It is your responsibility to hold onto your faith no matter what the issue of life is. We are in a world full of challenges that we have to hold unto our faith trusting God to perfect His plans in our lives. When the challenges is striving to steal all that one has worked for, God is in for greater rewards.
