God is the builder of his house
This is one responsibility God took upon Himself to build His house. The building of His house so much interest God that He would not delegate such divine project to anyone. God is the all knowing God. No one can identify the taste of the building God will want to live in and operate from. God has the taste of the building He wants to build, not to satisfy anyone but Himself. Yes, the building of His house where He will reside is one project God Almighty will never want to compromised with.
God is the master planner of the universe. Since He is the master planner of the whole universe, He as well has the better plann for His house. Who is that, that will have such a great idea to build the whole universe, out of nothing made beautiful and lasting project that can stand the test of times from generations; yet when it gets to building His house, He will build something that would not stand the test of pressure.

It is good to first have a close look at the creation, then you can begin to imagine how great and mighty the God of creation is. He does not do little things. Even the ones that seem to be little are all great and mighty. Everything God created are bright and beautiful. Then think about when God chose to build a house for Himself. You need to understand the kind of picture God should have about this house, the plan and the resources. Jesus said in the book of Luke chapter 14 verses 28 to 30,
28 – “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 – Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 – Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.”
Everything God created are bright and beautiful
Let us trace the origin to see and know how it all began. When God ever chosen to build His house, He never delegated it to angels since they are ministering spirits. God took it upon Himself to go into the manufacturing room. Wow, the King and master of the universe going into the manufacturing room when there are angels all over.
If it was to be of human realm, some persons will think that God was insecured or facing rejection. Not at all! Angels cannot give God the building of God’s heart desire. The plan of building God’s house was specially placed in the custody of God Almighty. He had to take the time, talent and treasure to design, fashion and make this house.
5 – And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6 – But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 – And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis chapter 2 verses 5 to 7)
The plan of building God’s house was specially placed in the custody of God Almighty
God build His house to His taste, so that it can carry His glory and reflect it. You see, this house cost God so much. It cost God everything because it is not an ordinary house but the one where He will dwell. This house will carry God every where. It is never a stationary building but a mobile building. No one else can handle such divine project as beautiful as God did. King David says,
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” (Psalm 127 chapter 1)
God has built it from the beginning, He is ever ready to build it again and again. Whatever that is wrong with this building, it is God that is the architect and the builder of it. God knows how to reform things about this building and put it in perfect shape for what He has proposed it to be.
Conclusion
When king David tapped into the revelation of what it takes God to build His house, he arrived at the declaration that,
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” (Psalm chapter 139 verses 14)
