God designed your body for himself
How awesome to know that God actually formed the body for Himself. When God created the man according to Genesis chapter 1 verse 26, which was the Spirit man, and for him to effectively function here on earth he needed a body to house Him.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…”
God is the custodian of both the spirit and the physical man. In the first place God duplicated Himself and in the second place He needed a body that will house the spirit man to enable him discharge his duties diligently, effectively and efficiently. You can imagine if God truly stepped out for creation to form a physical man, how diligently and committed will God be at that moment bringing together the necessary materials needed for the very project.
God cannot create something that will jeopardise the personality of God Almighty.
If it were to be something else that God needed to create, because He is a God of excellence and perfection, He will deploy the best to bring such project in place. Because of the nature of God Almighty any project He has planned or still planning to bring to pass must carry a divine mandate. God cannot create something that will jeopardise the personality of God Almighty.
You know there are projects you will see around the places and you will be wondering if the person who undertook such projects was in his right senses. You will question the capabilities of such person and the integrity on which he or she was able to deliver such projects. From the projects made you can testify that the person who handled those projects was not in his complete senses when carrying out the projects. That is man for you and his inability to deliver the best.
God cannot condone anything that is less than perfect
Here is God Almighty, the supreme God and the maker of heaven and earth. God does not operate with the five senses. He does not function from the physical which is driven by the five senses. He operates and functions from the spiritual realm where everything is operated and performed at its perfection. Everything is made to be at the state of its perfect state because God is a perfect Being. God cannot condone anything that is less than perfect. For anything that is less than perfect will diminish and projects a wrong ideology about God Almighty which He will not permit.
Let us quickly have a look on the account of creating man to actually see what it took God Almighty to create man. Remember that the vessel that God stepped out to create is not a vessel that will carry something else but a vessel that God will dwell in and operate through. Because it is divine project where God Almighty can operate in, the vessel must be divine. There is no two ways about it. It is either it is divine or it is divine. It must be divine, have a perfect shape and finishing that can house God.
God cannot be sentimental when it comes in creating things
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis chapter 2 verses 7)
We can’t really tell what it took and how long it took God Almighty to form man into the vessel He God Almighty can live in, but all I know it was a perfect vessel that can house God. If it was not perfect, God would not have breathed Himself into it. God cannot be sentimental when it comes to creating other things, how then did you think and believe God Almighty can be sentimental about creating what Him God will operate and function through. That must have and be in a perfect shape and order.
I want us to understand how precious our bodies are in God’s eyes and what it took God to go through the project of forming the body.
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground,”
The bible never made us to understand that God spoke and the physical man came into place. To bring the physical man into scene took God Almighty going to work. God will design and redesign until He got the best. The physical man at the state God Almighty breathed into him was at its best and perfect shape. That is why God Almighty can deem it wise to breath into him at the moment He breathed into him.
I believe this is the revelation behind king David declaration according to the book of Psalms chapter 139 verses 14,
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
You are not your own
1 Corinthians chapter 6 verses 19 Paul said,
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
I hear people who do say, ‘It is my body and I can do whatever I want with it.’ No! It is never your body. It is God’s body. God formed it, you did not form it. God breathed into it, you did not breath into it. You just came to understand you are a living soul. You never contributed anything to your being a living soul. You do not own yourself. Everything about you is owned by God Almighty. I will want us to have a picture of what God went through designing and bringing your physical man into shape, though we will not explain in detail here. You have to understand that you are not your own.
3 – “Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4 – And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
5 – Then the LORD gave me this message:
6 – O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.” (Jeremiah chapter 18 verses 3 to 6)
Conclusion
God deployed, not just everything but the best to form your body. Live to glorify God in your body.
