  1. Fixed your sight on Jesus

It is paramount that one must fixed his or her eyes on Jesus if he or she must live destiny to its fulfillment. No one can genuinely accomplished the course of purpose  and destiny without first having a clear walk with our Lord and master Jesus Christ.

22 – “And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23 – And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
24 – But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
25 – And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 – And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 – But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 – And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 – And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 – But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 – And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 – And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33 – Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.” (Mathew chapter 14 verses 22 to 33)

The kingdom journey is never run on emotions

The journey of life is more spiritual than the physical. There is no controversy about that, that those who are driven by what they see will always get stock in their journey of life. You have to always realised that man is first a spirit being that has a soul and live in a body. It is the first the spirit before the physical. Once conquered in the spirit, can conquered in the physical. You cannot continue to live your life on assumption.
This is very essential to our faith journey. The Christian faith is more of the spirit than the physical. We are not moved by whathatt we see; we are not moved by what we hear; we are not by what we feel; we are only moved by what we believe. What we believe as Christians is stronger than whatever that is happening around us. Things might not really be right around us, but once our belief does not Concord with , every thing will turn out right.

There is always safety when having a walk with Jesus

In the case of Peter, when they saw Jesus walking on the sea, they never took it to be Jesus. Though every thing about the One walking on the sea projected that it was Jesus, but they thought it impossible for anyone to walk on the sea. For the sea does not have the capacity to hold any substance that it place on it. Here is Jesus walking on the sea right befall them and walking towards them.
They thought it to be a ghost that was sent may be by those who does like the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ and was trying to strike them since was not there with them. They were afraid. Jesus understood their state spoke out that they should not be afraid and that it is He Jesus. Once Jesus made such statement of confidence, Peter did not hesitate to placed a demand which the Lord granted him.
28 – “And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 – And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” (Mathew chapter 14 verses 28 to 29)

Anyone can do the impossible having a proper alignment with God Almighty

Peter knew his master that when he placed a demand that it will be granted to him. He hard this understand that his master thought the best for them. Whenever they called on Jesus, He will answer them. Jesus is keen about the safety of His disciples and He never left them alone. He is always with them to make sure they get to their destination in peace. Jesus ordered Peter to come and he stepped forward to walked to Jesus.
I don’t know why the Lord Jesus would asked Peter to walked on water towards Him, but that may be the same reason that whatever that is impossible with men is possible with God. I am sure Peter must have fostered his sight on Jesus as he gently placed his leg on water. He was amazed there was this force on the water that resisted him from sinking. He began to walked towards his master, and I can tell you the Lord Jesus was smiling at him as he made one step after another.

There is a price for the next level in the kingdom

Out of twelve disciples it was only one who had the confidence to placed such huge demand of impossibility in the sight of men. Some of them may have looked at Peter with the look, ‘Are you alright? Who has ever walked on the sea before? Curiosity kills the cat.’ They will be like, you never asked Him to saved us is for Him to caused you to walk on the sea. But they were looking at him as he placed his right leg and the left followed.
They were amazed to see the impossible happening right before their eyes that Peter could stand on the water. They desired to make the same request to be in the guinness book of record as some might think. Here is the point, as they opened their eyes and mouths wide, looking at Peter walking towards the Master’s, it done on them that their destiny is secured. They could not have anything to be afraid of. As they placed their sight on Jesus, they safety was guaranteed.

In every of your endeavours in life, always learn to fixed your eyes on Jesus

30 – “But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 – And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” (Mathew chapter 14 verses 30 to 31)
It was when Peter list his sight on Jesus that he began to sink. In the Christian walk, we are not made to lose focus on Jesus. To focus one’s sight on somewhere else rather than to Jesus is never safe. There will be time when the evil wind of life will blow, it will blow to the extend that it will want to blow one out of the right track. We have to remain steadfast and fixed our sight on Jesus.

In conclusion:

Peter cried out to Jesus for help and the Lord Jesus helped him. There is never a time we will call the attention of our Lord Jesus Christ that He will not show up. It was clear that once they stepped into the ship, the wind ceased. Whatever that makes one to loss focus on Jesus is a complete distraction. We should not allow any form of distraction to come between our sight to Jesus. Anything that interrupt one’s sight on Jesus has the tendency to refocus him or her.
