Eliminate doubt from your mind
You can accomplish whatever your heart has long to do.
I remember when I started my writing career back then as a student and I was living with my immediate elder brother, both of us were students of the same campus. When I disclosed to him what I was about to venture into, he nodded his head. He is the kind who finds it stressful to utter words. But I saw a manifested doubt which he demonstrated, “My friend go and sit down. If you have anything important to talk about, you better go ahead and stop itching my ear with this your writing of a thing. You and I know you can’t do what you are saying.” I was so excited talking to him about writing a book, but he never believed in me. The fact remains I have made up my heart to go ahead with my writing.
Any time he sees me writing, he will make one terrific statement. “Guy, are you still wasting paper?” I will ignour him and continue with what I was doing. Little does he know I have an information for the younger generation and I have made my mind never to park. You see, everybody has the right to doubt you, your potentials and ability, but you have the ultimate right to prove them wrong. It is good to always remember people will always doubt your ability to fulfill your responsibility. Some times don’t waste your time and energy trying to convince them. People will always say you can’t until they see you can.
Never you park on the way.
If you can drive, have you ever picked up a car key, on the car engine and start driving to a destination on a fateful morning to catch up with an appointment, only to observe half way to your journey, the car starts slowing down which forced you to parked by the road side where those around may not be of true help to you. it’s frustrating. That is how it is when we allow the doubt of those close to us to sink into our mind. It has a way of getting one to park on the way to destiny fulfillment. The path to fulfilling one’s responsibility entertain courageous living and never entertain doubt.
Let me finish up the story, I was mindful to do all that I can to accomplished what I have at hand. After the encounter between my elder brother and I, no other person in my family knew I was writing. I was like, if my immediate elder brother I have spent hundred percent of my life with can doubt me, what about others. I went about my writing.
Hold on on what you believe
I finished the write up and went about the publication, that was when I had another discussion about the write up I was working with my brother Chigbo. It was after the publication, that I brought a copy home and kept it on our study table. When he came back home from school on that fateful evening he set his eyes on it. He picked it up, nodded his head and said, “Finally you made it.”
“Yes.” With my heart overwhelmed with joy. “I made it.”
People’s doubt are like the fault that park a car on the way. Elude it to get one to his or her destination when we allow it to take hold of our mind.
Keep the dream alive.
You can chose to make people’s doubt a stepping stone rather than a stumbling block. You can chose to see opportunity at people’s doubt rather than obstacle. You can chose to be elevated at people’s doubt rather than being distracted. You can chose to press on at people’s doubt rather than to park. Everything about people’s doubt shouldn’t make an inch to stop you from accomplishing your responsibility. You are the right person who has all it takes to keep alive the dream to fulfill your responsibility.
That people doubt, does not have any significant effect on you. Is the doubt you bring up on yourself that cause a significant effect on you. You can if you think you can. You cannot if you think you cannot. Every thing about doubt thrown at you is the one you accept and nurture that will take hold of you. King Solomon said,
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs chapter 4 verses 23.)
Whatever takes control of your heart will control your life and determine if you will accomplish your responsibility or not. It is always wise to remember that doubt is an enemy to the fulfillment of your responsibility.
Conclusion
If doubt steps on your path, be bold enough to kick it off the road. Don’t give room to doubt, if not it will want to take full occupant.
