Effective service begets effective servant
14 – “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 – And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” (Mathew chapter 25 verses 14 to 15)
No one can claim to be an effective servant when he or she did not deliver his or her service effectively
No one can be identified as an effective servant who has not proven him or herself with time from the place of service. Service is one of the vital tools to enable someone to become an effective servant. It does not matter how much anyone has acquired knowledge-wise if she does not understand the place of service. Service is a clue to unlocking hidden potential in an individual.
No one cares how one knows or acquired knowledge if he or she is not eager deploy that to service. Service is a test tool for anyone. Service is test tool everyone should live to cherish. People do not know how much potential you carry if you do not prove it in the place of service. How good you will be tested in the place of service. No one can claim to be an effective servant when he or she did not deliver his or her service effectively.
Life is not about just service but serving effectively
You can only become what you have practiced over and over again over a period of time. On this note, it is expedient that one has to yield him or herself in service so that he or she can gain the huge dividends that accompany effective service. Effective service builds and develops one’s capacity. Effective service will always leave one better and happier. Life is not about just service but serving effectively.
According to the scripture above, it is obvious that there is service in the kingdom for everyone. We can see that everyone was created to serve. Everyone was created to be diligent in service. You owe it to yourself to deliver your service effectively. If service in the kingdom was not necessary, the kingdom of heaven would not have been talking about it. The kingdom seeks for men and women who will render quality service.
You can’t keep running away from service thinking you are doing yourself any good
“For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.” (Mathew chapter 25 verses 14)
The master called his servant because there was a service to lender. Never you think you are where you are to mark time. Never you think you are not relevant to render service. You are chosen for service and it is in your responsibility to render quality and effective service. You can’t keep running away from service thinking you are doing yourself any good.
Those who shy away from service do not know how far they have gone hurting themselves
It is one’s effectiveness in service will prove one’s worth. It is obvious that people may underrate you until they see the services you have rendered. Those who shy away from service do not know how far they have gone hurting themselves. Though they might not perceive the pain at the moment, but on the later time they will understand that they have robbed themselves from important opportunities to excel in life.
There is a point one needs to understand at this juncture, it was not a stranger that called them, it was their master. He called them to give them a reason to prove oneself. And the only way through proving oneself is service. If service does not make sense to anyone, that person has fully signed up for failure all through his or her life. It does not matter what justification you are bringing on board, failure in the place of service has the tendency to elude one of greater opportunities.
Effective service is a key to advancement and promotion
Everyone will be remembered by what we have done. Great heroes and heroines that the world live to celebrate till this day, is based on the service they rendered. The service you render will speak for you in your absence. Effective service is a key to advancement and promotion. One can only become an effective servant if he or she understands the clues to deliver effective service. There is no controversy towards rendering an effective service.
“And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” (Mathew chapter 25 verses 15)
The servant whose master delivered five talents into his hand, did it by result
The master of these servants knows everyone’s capacity. He knows what an individual’s can handle at the moment. This means that he may have been testing them and unknown to some of them. I believe he has been taking time to monitor every single one of them. He does not need to act on speculation. He does not want to play sentiment in delivering responsibility. He wants to act on fact.
The servant whose master delivered five talents into his hand, did it by result. His master knew that the young man can handle five talents and more. That is the reason he was able to deliver his goods of five talents to him without any confusion of second thoughts. If the young man did not prove himself with time, his master wouldn’t have taken the risk to deliver such a huge responsibilities in his hand. The same with the young man who received two talents and the one who received one talents.
Conclusion:
You need to understand that people are watching you. When a responsibility is given to you, do it as though your life depends on it. That may be the breakthrough you have been waiting for. You should understand that when you ask God for wisdom, He brings problems your way. That is the only way to know you have been bestowed with wisdom in solving that problem.
