Do not turn your back completely from your nation
Many when they travelled out of the shore of the country they never care to know what is happening in the country of their origin. It is as though everything about their nations have been wipe out off their memories and they never dare to remember anything about their nations again. Just that they cross the shore, they never thought they will be crossing the shore of the nation.
Some persons suddenly grew bitter about their nation. Hearing the name of their name sound so terrible in their ears. They never wish they were born in their nation of origin. They regretted why God ever created them in that very nation. Yes, some went ahead to question and even quarrel God why upon all the nations on earth, how do they have to associate with this very nation.
They believe there is no future for them still staying in their nation
Every thing about their nation irritates them. The leadership of the nation irritates them. The prices of things irritate them. The way governance is going irritates them. The infrastructural activities irritate them. What they see on a daily basis irritates them. The air the breath also irritates them. They have not seen anything to make them appreciate the fact that they were created in such nations.
All through their lives time, they ever desire to leave the shore of the nation. They never care about whatever they will encounter to the nation they are going to, their greatest desire is the leave the shore of their nations. They believe there is no future for them still staying in their nation. Somewhere else is a better option for them no matter how good things turn out to be around them.
They never believed in the adage that said, ‘The devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know.’
They are in their nation physically but in their mind they are off the shore of the nation. They are still in their respective country but in their mind, they have completely turned their back against their nation. How you will discover such persons is that every time you are around them, they always talk about leaving the country. They never believed in the adage that said, ‘The devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know.’
These people never want to believe they have anything to do with their country of origin. Once they traveled out of the nation, the first thing they like doing is to change their identity. The change their name which will be hard for one to trace them down to their nation of origin. It can result to quarrel if one ever attributes them to their personal nation. Because they so much irritate hearing the name of their nation, they don’t want anyone to associate them to their nation.
They believe whatever that is happening in their nation does not concern them
They travel with the vow concrete sealed in their heart that their respective nations will not see them again. They vow they will spend the rest of their lives abroad. They don’t care about coming home to visit and the see those they left behind. They believe to make money and be sending money home for those at home up keep. They are satisfied remaining in another man’s land. It is never found in their diary, ‘No place like home.”
When the country of their origin is sinking, they believe they are not sinking with their nation. They believe whatever that is happening in their nation does not concern them. They are off and nothing will ever bring them home again. But that is always a lie from the pit of hell. No matter how long one stays in another man’s land, he will wake up one day with the desire to visit home. That will be so strong that it cannot be resisted. At that moment, whatever he does he will find no pleasure, except he or she decides to visit home.
Nehemiah was in pain when he was informed about the state of his people
2 – “That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
3 – And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
4 – And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,” (Nehemiah chapter 1 verses 2 to 4)
Nehemiah was one of the men who left the shore of his nation but he never turned his back completely on his nation. When he got the news of the devastating state of his nation, it grief his soul that his countenance changed. He knew at that moment something needed to be done. He knew it was also time to visit home. Anything that can caused a man to completely turned his back at his nation, can rub him from living his true life towards fulfilling purpose.
Nehemiah was in pain when he was informed about the state of his people. He knew he needed go act fast, if not there will be more havoc befallen his people. Do not be among those who will grow so bitter about their nation that you can’t throw a helping hand even when you have the opportunity to do so. Nehemiah has to act fast to rescued his people from such a terrible mess.
Conclusion
