Do not keep quiet when you are to act
5 – “Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king’s chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it was, and why it was.
6 – So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king’s gate.
7 – And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay to the king’s treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.
8 – Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him for her people.
9 – And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.” (Esther chapter 4 verses 4 to 9)
Any genuine and reasonable man cannot afford to keep quiet when it is expected of him to speak
Mordecai could be a calm man but he understood there is time for a man to keep quiet and a time for a man to talk. Any genuine and reasonable man cannot afford to keep quiet when it is expected of him to speak. Things go wrong when those who are expected to speak, keep quiet seeing things going contrary to expectations. This is one of the major challenges in the society today.
When it came to knowledge of Esther about the unpleasant mood of her uncle, she quickly sent someone to found out what the matter is. It could have been dangerous on Esther side if she said, she has just been appointed queen and it was too early to react to issues as such. Everyone is important in the process of fulfilling destiny. Everyone has something to contribute for the success of each other.
Even if they will die, let it be known that they made their intentions known.
Mordecai did not hesitate to explain to the massager what the issue was, and why he can’t keep quiet in a time like this. He rejected the cloth sent to him to change up and put on something decent. He understood that it was not the time to look decent when there is a course ongoing to slaughter the Jews. The course on ground did not demand that anyone should look good. Even if they will die, let it be known that they made their intentions known.
Mordecai did not only explained to the messager what was about to befall the Jews through the plans of Haman, he also gave him a proof of the written word to back up his case. You see, Esther may have looked upon the whole scenario as a child play, but when the written word was involved, then she knew it was a serious and delicate matter confronting the Jews. I believe she got furious reading through the write up.
People’s destiny is about to sink because you fail to take your place of responsibility
Why will you keep quiet watching things go wrong when you have the capacity to act and make things right? You can’t continue to act as though you don’t want to get people offended. How long will you continue to play such sentiment to the detriment of others. People’s destiny is about to sink because you fail to take your place of responsibility. May you never keep calm when everyone is looking up to you for transformation.
There are those who you are their advocate. There are those whose destiny depends on you. You can’t afford to keep quiet when you are their only hope at the moment. You can’t continue to act as though the consequences will not get to you and your household. If you fail to act now, nature will hold it against you. Any priority you have that made you look down on people and fold your hands on them when they were looking up to for you to stretch your hands of help to them, is never a wise one.

The destiny of the people of Jews was hanged on Esther at the very moment. That was why Mordecai chose the king’s gate as the best and wise option for whatever he has to do at the moment to make his intention known and to elude the calamity that was aimed to befall him and his people. The massacre in the time past was so horrible that Mordecai never wished to live to witness such again.

Your existence is never an accident. The position you occupy at the moment is for a purpose. It is to bring transformation to people’s life and cause tremendous impact to the society. It is in your power and it is your responsibility to speak when you are expected to speak, especially when it will avail others from experiencing disaster.
