Be mindful of your duty post

14 – “For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 – And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 – Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 – And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 – But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

19 – After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

20 – And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 – His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 – He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 – His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 – Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 – And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 – His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 – Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 – Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 – For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” (Mathew chapter 25 verses 14 to 29)

Everyone has something to do for the improvement of the family.

Everyone has a duty post. When we find ourselves in a denomination that we are aware and quite sure it is the Lord God Almighty that led our path to that very denomination, you have a post. There is something you are called to do.  No one in the family remains idle. Everyone has something to do for the improvement of the family.

There are those who have a better understanding to this, and when you see them carrying out their responsibilities, whether they are the leader or not, it does not affect their zeal to give out their best for the growth and development of the church. They believe this is one thing that has been entrusted in their capacity and they will seize every opportunity to make sure things are the way it was expected to be.

Yes, the life we live is the life Jesus gave us by His finished work on the cross

There are those who put their whole heart doing their work in the kingdom as though that is the only work they have on the earth to do. Some persons at one point or other have mocked them, saying that they are behaving as though they were the one who killed Jesus. It is never about who killed Jesus, it is about having the understanding that Jesus actually died for mankind.

Jesus paid the debt He knew nothing about. Mankind owe a debt that we could help out ourselves to pay such a huge debt, but here is Jesus in His infinite mercy enduring the shame of the cross for our sake. It is evil if one will live the rest of his or her life, serving and pleasing Jesus? Yes, the life we live is the life Jesus gave us by His finished work on the cross.

You are responsible for your duty post

May no one discourage you from your duty post. Any thing that robs you from losing interest in your duty post can rob you of your eternal rewards. There is an eternal reward attached to your duty post. You are responsible for your duty post. I am responsible for my duty post. Everyone is responsible for his or her duty post. We all will give account on how effective and efficient we were able to manage our duty post.

May your duty post never be a waste. When one duty post did not live to expectation, it has an effect in the whole family. You can imagine in a church where every department is working but there is this very one that does not care. No effort is put by the head of the department to see that department grow, automatically people will be running away from such department because the head is not serious. Your lack of  seriousness in your duty post, is a threat to its growth and progress.

No single person will escape giving an account of his or her duty post

Do not be deceived, whatever that happens on your duty post, no one else will be held responsible. It should stick in your my mind that you are responsible for your duty post and you will live to give account for that very post and how you discharge your duty. No single person will escape giving an account of his or her duty post. When we give the best of our respective duty post, we will live to reap the huge dividends of the Lord commendation.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians chapter 6 verses 7)

Conclusion:

Think about the scripture above, no one is an accident on earth. We are all here to manage a duty post. When we are able to properly manage our duty post, it will affect lives and cause tremendous transformation in the society. There is a reward for anyone who effectively manages his or her duty post.
