Be careful how you treat your saviour, the enemy might knock on your door again
1 – “And it came to pass in those days, that the Philistines gathered their armies together for warfare, to fight with Israel. And Achish said unto David, Know thou assuredly, that thou shalt go out with me to battle, thou and thy men.
2 – And David said to Achish, Surely thou shalt know what thy servant can do. And Achish said to David, Therefore will I make thee keeper of mine head for ever.
3 – Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.
4 – And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa.
5 – And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.
6 – And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.” (1Samuel chapter 28 verses 1 to 6)
You can’t take the enemy off the way and think the enemy might not come back on your way.
You get to be fully aware that the enemy that once knocked on your door, will once again knock on your door again and again. You have to be aware how you were able to confront and defeat the enemy in the time past. The same strategy used to kicked the enemy off the way in the past can be use to kick the enemy off the way in the present time. You can’t take the enemy off the way and think the enemy might not come back on your way.
You should understand that as long as we are in the world, the threats of the enemy will keep coming. The enemy might flee away at the moment but be rest assured the enemy will show up again. We are in a battle field and the battle continues. Once we defeat an enemy at a particular level, we advance and never forget we might meet bigger enemies. For the fact you are able to defeat the enemy at first is a prove you have what it takes to defeat the enemy again and again.
The enemy is an enemy. No enemy meant good to anyone.
The enemy will keep threatening trying to find its way through. But it is on individual to grant the enemy access. Yes, it is the enemy one grants access that will step in. Once the enemy steps in, anything can happen. The enemy will always want to take full charge when it steps in. That is why no individual should ever dare to grant the enemy access. The enemy is an enemy. No enemy meant good to anyone.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John chapter 10 verses 10)
The enemy is the thief. You should know who your enemy is and strive in your whole power never to give the enemy space. The enemy is the thief that should never be welcomed for any reason. The idea to give an enemy space is a disastrous idea that should never be entertained. The enemy is here before we came on board, the enemy will still surface even after we depart the world.
The enemy is the thief that should never be welcomed for any reason
Dr David Ogbueli said, “If the enemy show up in the morning bind him. If the enemy show up in the afternoon bind him. If the enemy show up in the evening bind him.”
Here is the point, you have to know the team that helped you conquer the enemy. Do everything in your power to keep them by your side. You might need their help to be able to conquer the next enemy. When the right team are not there when the enemy shows up, that could cause havoc.
Remember that it was David who confronted Goliath, conquered him and wipe away the shame from the face of the Israelites and the king Saul. The king thought the enemy will never surface again when he started treating David bad and going after his life. The day enemy surfaced, he did not have the right team to face the enemy and they were not only defeated, but they also lost their lives in that very battle.
Conclusion:
If David was by king Saul’s side on that very day the enemy showed up, he would wipe those enemies away before the sight of king Saul. Be careful how you treat those who assisted you to conquer your enemy. You might need their assistance again.
