Adhere the advice of the experienced

One gets into greater challenges when he or she fails to adhere to good advice. When one thinks that the advice of the experienced is never fruitful, the advice of the inexperienced becomes the only option. When one values the advice of the fool more than that of the wise, he or she is eligible to fall into the pit. When one falls into the pit, he or she still needs the advice of the wise to be out of the pit. Save yourself the stress and pains to get oneself into the pit in the first place before seeking for remedy.

There is nothing new under the sun.  Where you went to be and where you want to go, people have been there. If you must make it safely without much stress you need to adhere to their advice. Always seek for the right people’s advice and never you hesitate to put it into action. The advice of the wise will make you wise. The advice of the experienced will make you experienced.

1 – “And Rehoboam went to Shechem: for all Israel were come to Shechem to make him king.

2 – And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was yet in Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt;)

3 – That they sent and called him. And Jeroboam and all the congregation of Israel came, and spake unto Rehoboam, saying,

4 – Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.

5 – And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.

6 – And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people?

7 – And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.” (1Kings chapter 12 verses 1 to 7)

There are those whose advice will cripple and crush your ability to make the right decision which will dive you into great frustration and humiliation

You have to believe that you don’t know it all. You have to know that there are people in the level and state you are now. You have to know those who are inexperienced as you are at the moment. You have to understand those you are looking to seek advice from.  You have to be knowledgeable enough to know there are those who you should never seek advice from.

Know the limit of your advisers. There are those whose advice will take you to the doors of greater opportunities and still grant you access without any restriction. There are those whose advice will cripple and crush your ability to make the right decision which will dive you into great frustration and humiliation.

Advice are tools for creation or for destruction.

It is not every experienced person that should be your adviser. There is no amount of good advice you will receive from someone who is not ripe for good advice. When you seek for advice from the wrong companies, you will become a company of confused people. It is wise to stay without an adviser than seeking for advice from the wrong place.

The advice from the slothful will make one slothful. The advice from the wise will make one wise. It is never wise to play sentiment while seeking for advice. Advice are tools for creation or for destruction. The good advice will benefit and prosper you if you diligently yield to it. Bad advice has the capacity to drag one into mud and make the person a nobody.

8 – “But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:

9 – And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?

10 – And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s loins.

11 – And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.” (1Kings chapter 12 verses 8 to 11)

Conclusion:

When one forsake the advice of the experienced, he or she is open to challenges and destruction. The experienced have had their rough times and good times. They understand how they conquered. Their advices will pave ways for you if you diligently yield to them and put them to work.
