You are not too relevant that you don’t have a replacement
3 – “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 – For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 – So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 – Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 – Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 – Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Romans chapter 12 verses 3 to 8)
It is by grace we are who we are and it is by grace you are what you are.
The fact remains that everyone was born relevant and no one is to think him or herself more relevant than others. You are as relevant to the responsibility you are created to carry out. Everyone is relevant according to the responsibility he or she was created to handle. According to an individual’s responsibility, we are all relevant. We are meant to complement each other. Everyone has a course to accomplish and that is why we came into existence.
We have to come to the knowledge to realise that our making is just by grace. Everything about the humanity and the human race is by grace. Man having and observing the same character with God, being designed and fashioned in God’s image was an unmerited favour from God Almighty. It is by grace we are who we are and it is by grace you are what you are. Any skills or talents you are about to stir up and that has placed you into the path of relevance, should not make you think yourself more important and relevant than others.
Everything about an individual and his or her achievements, it is all about grace.
It is quite amazing how some persons carry themselves so highly as though they are the one who made themselves. They have taken the place of self made and thrown away grace. Everything about an individual and his or her achievements, it is all about grace. Many must have applied for the same opportunity and they were unable to achieve that but to you it was a game of success. That may be as a result that you are more relevant and that should not be the reason to boast.
When we think about the human body we will understand better what it takes for one not to think him or herself highly important than others. Based on the rule of individual functionality, everyone is considered relevant. That one is so relevant in a particular office does not mean he or she will be that relevant in another office. When we will realise how important we are in our office and how relevant others are in their respective offices, that should keep us humble.
Any day you sound so proud, your pit is beside you.
That one is a good chorister does not mean he or she can handle the rest of the instructments effectively. For a band to be complete, there is need for the assembly of people in some relevant office. A good chorister, as relevant as he or she thinks him or herself cannot do much without the help of others. Can you imagine a good chorister without a backup chorister and even without the instrumentalists? When a good chorister mount the mic, there should a good keyboardist to mount the keyboard. There is need for a good drummer to mount the drum. There is need for someone good to handle the lead guitar and the bass guitar. And other relevant equipments need those who are skillful in them for the song to flow.
When you realise that the kingdom responsibility was never designed to run on the shoulder of one person, then we should learn how to value one another. Life is not about the one who is running alone, life is about them who run as a team encouraging one another. That you are given the priviledge to lead song does not make you most relevant than others. Any day you sound so proud, your pit is beside you. The gospel band cannot stop because you are not there. Even when someone to replace you is not available at the moment, it wouldn’t be long before a perfect replacement will emerge.
You have to come to the knowledge to fully accept the fact that you are a product of God’s grace.
Whatever talents you must have been displaying are all by the grace of God. At any level you find yourself, you have to see grace in view. Life is all about the grace of God. If God’s grace was not made available, life would have been something never to write home about. Life is beautiful because of the availability of God’s grace. You have to come to the knowledge to fully accept the fact that you are a product of God’s grace.
Conclusion:
In the kingdom responsibility everyone has a role to play. That makes everyone relevant in the agenda of God. When you think yourself too relevant that you allow pride to step in, soon you will be replaced. That is the rule of the kingdom. It is only the humble that shall be exalted but the proud shall be resisted.
“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” (James chapter 4 verses 6)
