Value the days of your youth

“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;” (Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verses 1)

 

You must discover God before you will be able to live and fulfill your course in life

This is the word of the wisest man who ever lived king Solomon, he admonished the young people to have a cordial relationship with the Lord God Almighty at the youthful age. This is a very crucial matter and that is why he has to emphasised on the need to have a walk with God. To him the days of the young people are the days to discover God for oneself. To discover God is to discover oneself.

He was trying to stir up the right attitude about God. Any young person who misses it now he or she is a youth, it will difficult for him or her to live to fulfill purpose. Purpose calls for work. You must discover God before you will be able to live and fulfill your course in life. Of course no one can discover his or her true purpose out of God. When you discover God, you discover purpose. When you discover purpose, you discover the reason to live. When you discover the reason to live, you will live fulfilled.

 

If God is the Creator, He got the name out of creation.

There is no true fulfillment out of God.  He said you should remember your Creator now you are a youth. It is not just now you are a youth but all the days of your youth. He is saying that if there is anything that makes sense in the days of the youth is all about knowing the Lord God Almighty. Everything about becoming successful in life, is about knowing God. When one has a cordial relationship with God, God will open the person up to the mystery of life.

To remember now your Creator in the days of your youth simply means you should focus on God and knowing the principles of the kingdom. It is wise to know that the writer did not say you should remember your God, but he said you should remember your Creator. My emphasis is on the word ‘Creator’. If God is the Creator, He got the name out of creation. Creation is the whole act of work God did to create a kingdom, earth and to beautify it.

 

The days of the youth are never the days for pleasure but the days to learn how to overcome pressure.

For young people to remember their Creator in the days of their youth, simply means they should think, reason and act like God Almighty. The days of the youth are the days to create. The days of the youth is the prime time of their lives to invest more in works. The days of the youth are never the days for harvest but the days of sowing. The days of the youth are never the days for pleasure but the days to learn how to overcome pressure.

The days of the youth are never the days to run away from challenges of life, the days of the youth are the days to face challenges and overthrow those challenges. The days of the youth are never the days to be thinking of shortcut, the days of the youth are the days to learn to follow due processes. The days of the youth are never the days to be in hurry  but the days of the youth are the days to learn patience and be taking things one at a time. The days of the youth are never the days for enjoyment but the days to endure hard time, preparing and keep pressing on.

 

You don’t have to be caught unaware for what you were once aware of.

The youthful time is the only time when one is full of energy. It is always wise to make good use of your day now you are a youth. You don’t have to waste your time doing things that do not matter thinking you have time. As time is ticking one is growing older. Do not blow away youthful age, you will live to regret it. The time you wasted you can never recover. The time you wasted will catch up with you and hurt you. Make good use of your time now you are young and full of energy to go about things. Invest your time and energy wisely.

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not. According to the wisest man who ever lived, there is an evil day ahead that one needs to make good use of his or her time now. The youthful days are the right time ever anyone needs to lay the right foundation that will sustain one all through the evil days. One needs to prepare for the evil days, if not it will catch one unaware. You don’t have to be caught unaware for what you were once aware of.

 

The days ahead are evil and it is not going to be pleasant.

If the writer is warning the younger generation to invest their time now right for the preparation for the time ahead that should be a serious matter. This is time to dwell more on character building and not the time to go after money by any means. Acquiring money without acquiring the right character that will sustain such wealth might lead to disaster.  The days of the youth are the days of character building for the evil days ahead. The days ahead may force one  into compromising.

The days ahead will not be funny and there is need for one to make good used of every opportunity now, to make each time count, thereby investing one’s time right. Failure to manage the youthful time right might result to regret into the future. Of course, the days of the youth, is the seed time days. Never you throw away your seeds on the stone ground. Throw your seed on the fertile ground where it can actually germinate and yield greatly for the sustainability of the future. The present days good, invest it right. The days ahead are evil and it is not going to be pleasant.

 

Conclusion

He said the years draw nigh when you shall say you have no pleasure in them. This is when your strength will no longer be there. You will desire to do things but your strength will fail you. Nothing last forever. Life is in phases. Make good used of your youthful age and you will live a happy person for the rest of your life.
