God’s demonstrated love to mankind
26 – “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 26 to 28)
There was no genuine love which is not proof by responsibility
The ultimate love of God to mankind was found from the very beginning God stepped out to took up the full responsibility for creation. There was no genuine love which is not proof by responsibility. The whole act of responsibility towards creation was an act of God’s love to human. How would God had left His throne to create another kingdom, not for the extension of His kingdom to be in charged to extend His reigning. It is never so, He did had man at heart to be in charge, exercise dominion and authority.
There was nothing that triggered God to go the extra mile to call forth light out of darkness except God’s love towards human. He needed a bright and conducive kingdom for man. You see, people can confess how must they love you without any action to show for it, but there is God that demonstrated how much He loves humanity by creating him a kingdom where he can reign on His behalf to reflect His glory.
Everything about the act of creation was based on love. When one critically look at creation, all you could see is God’s love extended to mankind
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 2)
From the above scripture, what did you think that was behind God’s moved into searching what to do to eradicate darkness, not for His own sake but for the sake of man. It was that vital that God should paid such a huge price of responsibility to deployed such a tremendous energy to make the earth a beautiful place for man, suitable for habitation. That was a proof of love from the perspective of God Almighty.
Having a close study at creation will reveal to someone how important was the existence of man and how much love God displayed in bringing the best into place for man sake. Before man came into the scene, one may be thinking what is it about man that God should exhausted such magnificent strength to creating a kingdom for man. Everything about the act of creation was based on love. When one critically look at creation, all you could see is God’s love extended to mankind.
Love without responsibility is a death love
“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” (Ephesians chapter 1 verses 4)
From the scripture above we will find out that it was out of God’s love towards humanity that we were chosen to Himself even before the process of creating the earth began. We did not bargain for our been chosen in the first place. How did we merit been chosen by God? It was God’s love that merited us for been chosen. It was God’s love made known through taken the responsibility for chosen us to Himself. How precious is man to be loved and chosen by the One that created the whole universe.
Love without responsibility is a death love. You can imagined if it was said that God so loved man without any proof to show for it. You can only see the extent of God’s love towards humanity based on the works of creation. What a beautiful kingdom like the earth that has the complete reflection of heaven to be governed by man! What a privilege and honour it is for mankind!
How special the earth will look is determined by how special man is to God Almighty
The whole book of Genesis chapter one and two, one cannot imagine how much it took God to walked through the whole process of creation. Of a truth it was a huge responsibility with great commitment from God. How special the earth will look is determined by how special man is to God Almighty. We cannot be talking about one being special without a demonstration of love. The view of God towards man was how much God loved man that prompted Him into action to provide the best of kingdom among many planets to man.
That the land been separated from the water so that man can have a landing place where he can build fire shelter. If there was no land, everywhere was still saturated with water, and man came into scene, he would have been flying all his life. How then will he exercise dominion if he will remain a flying man all through his life? Of course the earth and life would have been something else to mankind. Obviously, it wouldn’t have made much sense to mankind.
Conclusion
The whole process of creation is God love made real. The quality about everything created is to honour the existence of man made possible through God’s love towards humanity. You have to see God’s love in every steps He took in making the earth a dwelling and a pleasant place for mankind. Love without responsibility is a death love.
