Unraveling financial dominion
26 – “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 26 to 28)
9 – “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
10 – And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.
11 – Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.” (2Corinthians chapter 8 verses 9 to 11)
When it comes to Kingdom finances, the dominion mandate given to humanity covers all areas of life, including Finances. Contrary to the mistaken belief that having financial dominion is sinful, the story of Job provides a clear example that Wealth and Righteousness can coexist. Job was a Godly man who had great wealth and was called “the greatest of all the people of the East.”
1 – “There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
2 – And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.
3 – His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.
4 – And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.” (Job chapter 1 verses 1 to 4)
This shows that material prosperity does not automatically mean sinfulness. Similarly, Abraham, the father of Faith, was blessed in every way.
“And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.” (Genesis chapter 24 verses 1)
Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the rights Adam lost in the garden of Eden were restored to humanity. This restoration enables us to live as kings, priests, and prophets, becoming Vessels of God’s Glory.
“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;” (1Timothy chapter 6 verses 17)
“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation chapter 5 verses 10)
Ps.8.6 – Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:” (Psalm chapter 8 verses 6)
Financial dominion in the Kingdom of God is based on the concept of a financial covenant with the Lord God Almighty. This covenant goes beyond general grace and brings people into a special anointing of grace. A good example is found in King David and his son Solomon, with the latter being known for his wisdom and wealth as the richest king in history.
29 – “And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 – And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 – For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 – And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 – And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 – And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.” (1Kings chapter 4 verses 29 to 34)
As we approach the End Times, God is preparing a movement that will involve a great harvest of souls, and to that end, He is selecting individuals to entrust with the resources of His Kingdom. These individuals, bound by a covenant with God, will carry His Glory and Financial Dominion.
“Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” (Psalms chapter 50 verses 5)
Through Kingdom Prosperity, the Gospel will spread to new territories.
“Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.” (Zachariah chapter 1 verses 17)
God’s Mission on earth requires financial support, and those who contribute to this Cause are given the Power to gain Wealth.
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy chapter 8 verses 18)
This Financial Dominion is deeply tied to fulfilling God’s Mission, requiring Sacrificial Dedication, just as the Lord Jesus sacrificed Himself for the Salvation of humanity.
As Christian believers, we are all called to exercise financial dominion. However, we must be careful of the spirit of mammon, which represents the idolization of material wealth. Trusting too much in riches can lead to idolatry, making us servants to money rather than to God.
23 – “And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 – And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 – It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Mark chapter 10 verses 23 to 25)
If you are blessed with Financial Abundance, it is important to guard against the love of money, which can lead even the strongest believers astray.
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (1Timothy chapter 6 verses 10)
To stay grounded, make a Covenant with God, committing never to abandon His Kingdom for Wealth.
As far as the issue of Kingdom Finances is concerned, the Dominion Mandate entrusted to humanity is all-encompassing in contrast to the erroneous belief that Financial Dominion is inherently sinful. This misconception has been debunked through the account of Job, a Righteous and God-fearing man from the Old Dispensation. In Job 1:1-4, we read about his blameless and upright life, his abundant possessions and his esteemed status as the greatest in the East, dispelling the notion that material prosperity equates to sin.
Similarly, God’s Blessings were abundantly evident in the life of the Patriarch Abraham, who was blessed in every conceivable manner (Gen. 24:1). Through the Birth, Death and Resurrection of Christ Jesus our Lord, He restored the bundle of Rights that Adam had relinquished in the Garden of Eden back to humanity. This Restoration empowers us to function as kings, priests, and prophets, making the Transformed individual a Worthy Vessel of God’s Glory.
Financial Dominion in the Kingdom of God is not merely about accumulating Wealth but about being Responsible Stewards of God’s Resources. As we align ourselves with God’s Covenant and Purpose, we can use the Financial Blessings He entrusts to us for His Glory and the Advancement of His Kingdom.
This requires a heart of Humility, Service and Unwavering Commitment to God’s Mission, ensuring that our Wealth serves the cause of Christ and not our selfish desires. In doing so, we become partakers in God’s Plan, bringing about Transformation and spreading His Love to every corner of the Earth.
Conclusion:
God have bestowed upon every Christian believers the blessing of financial dominion. We have to walk in financial dominion with humility and always seeking the kingdom first. We should shy our hearts away from the love of money and let our wealth be used for God’s glory and the advancement of His mission on earth.
