Making the most of every opportunity

“Making the most of every opportunity, for the Days are evil.” (Ephesians chapter 5 verses 16 New International Version)

15 – “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 – Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 – Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians chapter 5 verses 15 to 17)

“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” (Colosians chapter 4 verses 5)

According  to the scriptures above, it is essential that we as Christian believers learn to obtain our Counsel from the Holy Scriptures which admonish us to make the best use of our time because we are living in perilous times. We are all going to be held accountable for the manner in which we spend each precious moment the Lord God Almighty has entrusted to us.
He has called all of us to be wise in how we spend our days hence we need to be asking ourselves the following pertinent questions: Does what I am doing have any Eternal Impact? Could I be doing something else with my time that would glorify God more? We ought to be setting boundaries and planning our days in such a way that glorifies God.
We have to examine our time and make sure that we are utilizing each hour wisely and understanding what the Will of the Lord is. One should be maximizing his last hour on Earth by walking in the newness of Life and walking by Faith rather than by sight.
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans chapter 6 verses 4)

1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 – For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans chapter 8 verses 1 to 2)

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews chapter 11 verses 6)
“Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?” (Galatians chapter 5 verses 7)

We also have a responsibility to walk in the Spirit and be led by the Spirit.
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians chapter 5 verses 16)

14 – “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 – For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 – The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:” (Romans chapter 8 verses 14 to 16)

Walking worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called is another way of maximizing our last hour on Earth.
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,” (Ephesians chapter 4 verses 1)
Conclusion:
This also requires being consistent in soul winning and missions. The most mmportant key, which the Lord Jesus used throughout His entire mission to redeem mankind was walking in agape love.
“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” (Ephesians chapter 5 verses 2)
