Keys to exposing false prophets

1 – “If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

2 – And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

3 – Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

4 – Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

5 – And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.” (Deuteronomy chapter 13 verses 1 to 5)

25 – “I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

26 – How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

27 – Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

28 – The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

29 – Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

30 – Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

31 – Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

32 – Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

33 – And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah chapter 23 verses 25 to 33)

11 – “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 – And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 – But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Mathew chapter 24 verses 11 to 13)

1 – “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 – Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 – And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” (1John chapter 4 verses 1 to 3)

18 – “A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 – Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 – Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Mathew chapter 7 verses 18 to 20)

The End Times are currently here with us, and one of the most disastrous aspects of these Times is the emergence of the spirit of deception amongst an alarmingly high number of Christian believers. When He was questioned by some of His Apostles about the Signs of the Last Days, the First Admonition He gave was concerning this critical issue:

5 – “And Jesus answering them began to say, TAKE HEED LEST ANY MAN DECEIVE YOU:

6 – For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Mark chapter 13 verses 5 to 6)

Confirming the Lord’s Prophetic Warning, there has been a rapid spread of false prophets in epidemic proportions. The deficiency in knowledge and severe gullibility of more than a few believers is one major reason these agents of satan successfully parade themselves as prophets in the midst of the Church.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea chapter 4 verses 6)

The primary source of satan’s power is not his ability to intimidate or terrify his victims. On the contrary, his true power lies within his deceptive dimensions or capacity to deceive those who are lacking a Proper Foundation in Christ Jesus.

13 – “Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

14 – Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” (Isaiah chapter 5 verses 13 to 14)

No wonder these aforementioned false prophets, his representatives masquerade themselves as angels of light and ministers of righteousness.

13 – “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 – And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 – Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2Corinthians chapter 11 verses 13 to 15)
