4 processes of thanksgiving

  1. Prayer of thanksgiving:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians chapter 4 verses 6)

This is the kind of prayer you do not come to make request or complain, you came to lender thanksgiving.

“Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” (Psalms chapter 106 verses 1)

16 – “Rejoice evermore.

17 – Pray without ceasing.

18 – In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1Thessalonian chapter 5 verses 16 to 18)

It is God’s Will we will give Him thanks.

  1. Praise and Worship of thanksgiving:

“Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:” (Psalms chapter 147 verses 7)

18 – “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

19 – Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

20 – Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” (Ephesians chapter 5 verses 18 to 20)

Thanksgiving releases supernatural strength.

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” (Hebrews chapter 13 verses 15)

“I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.” (Daniel chapter 2 verses 23)

“I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.” (Psalms chapter 9 verses 1)

“I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.” (Psalms chapter 35 verses 18)

  1. Thanksgiving offering:

“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.” (Psalms chapter 69 verses 30)

1 – “O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.”

2 – Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

3 – For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”  (Psalms chapter 95 verses 1 to 3)
