Why you are not praying:

  1. You need the grace of God to pray:

“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (1Corianthians chapter 15 verses 10)

  1. You do not have faith in your prayer.

16 – “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 – And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 – Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians chapter 6 verses 16 to 18)

  1. Ignorant of what God said in His word.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hoses chapter 4 verses 6)

  1. Canality:

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Romans chapter 8 verses 6)

Living a canal life hindiance one to pray.

  1. Unforgiveness:

14 – “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 – But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Mathew chapter 6 verses 14 to 15)

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” (Romans chapter 14 verses 17)

  1. Worry:

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians chapter 6 verses 18)

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians chapter 4 verses 6)

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” (James chapter 4 verses 8)

  1. Doubt:

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.” (Mathew chapter 21 verses 21)

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James chapter 1 verses 8)

  1. Not building up of one’s faith:

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,” (Jude chapter 1 verses 20)

Conclusion:

Prayer is the most powerful tool on earth. Each day counts when each hour counts. Each hour counts when each minute counts. Each minute counts when each seconds counts. Each seconds counts when one’s prayer life counts. When one do not pray, he or she is giving the devil licence over his or her life.
