20 reasons pressing into God’s plans for your life
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah chapter 29 verses 11 NIV)
- Plan for redemption:
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:” (Galatians chapter 3 verses 13)
- Plan to make us kings and priests:
9 – “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 – And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation chapter 5 verses 9 to 10)
- Plan to love us unconditional:
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans chapter 5 verses 8)
- Plan for salvation:
11 – “This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts chapter 4 verses 11 to 12)
- Plan to be like Christ:
1 – “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 – Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1John chapter 3 verses 1 to 2)
- Plan for forgiveness of sin:
“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” (Acts chapter 26 verses 18)
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” (Ephesians chapter 1 verses 7)
- Plan to be a vessel of honour onto Him:
20 – “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 – If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” (2Timothy chapter 2 verses 20 to 21)
- Plan to live a holy life:
“That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” (Ephesians chapter 5 verses 27)
- Plan for complete deliverance from darkness to light:
“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” (Colosians chapter 1 verses 13)
- Plan to set the captive free:
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;” (Isaiah chapter 61 verses 1)
- Plan to be healed wholeheartedly:
3 – “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 – Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 – But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah chapter 53 verses 3 to 5)
- Plan for the blessing:
1 – “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 – And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 – Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 – Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 – Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 – Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.” (Deuteronomy chapter 28 verses 1 to 6)
- Plan for prosperity:
“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” (Psalms chapter 35 verses 27)
- Plan to do exploit:
“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel chapter 11 verses 32)
- Plan for justification:
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” (Romans chapter 5 verses 1)
“Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.” (Romans chapter 5 verses 18)
- Plan for sanctification:
“And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” (1Corianthians chapter 6 verses 11)
- Plan for righteousness:
17 – “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 – For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;” (Romans chapter 1 verses 17 to 18)
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” (Romans chapter 5 verses 17)
- Plan for guidance:
2 – “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 – For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.” (Isaiah chapter 43 verses 2 to 3)
- Plan to fight our battle:
13 – “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
14 – The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus chapter 14 verses 13 to 14)
- Plan for direction:
5 – “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 – In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 to 6)
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” (Psalms chapter 37 verses 5)
