Mankind became a victim of failure
It is a nature in man to be victorious in everything
When God made man, he was made the most victorious being on earth. Just like there is no deity as God Almighty, there was no living being like the man. Just as God is exceptional in all ramifications, man was exceptional in all ramifications. Just as God can do all thing, man was bestowed with the ability to do all things. Just as God can make out something amazing out of nothing, so man can make out something out of nothing.
Man was designed, fashioned and made a victorious being by birth. This is never something any man should work for. It is a nature in man to be victorious in everything. That was why man was made the god of the earth. Everything was under the governing power of man. Man was in charge of everything created on the earth. Man was given the full responsibility that whatever he says stands.
That fall of man brought so much reproach to man and brought everything about man into a state of failure.
The fall of man did not only make him fall out of place, he also fell out of his throne. Man was highly displaced from the position of exercising full dominion on the affairs of life and on earth. That fall of man brought so much reproach to man and brought everything about man into a state of failure. The disobedience of man towards God by succumbing to the deception of the devil brought man into the nature of failure.
1 – “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 – And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 – But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 – And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 – For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 – And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 – And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 – And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 – And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 – And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 – And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12 – And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
13 – And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.” (Genesis chapter 13 verses 1 to 13))
Man was ultimately faced with the the challenge of not living up to expectation
The act of disobedience cost man his throne and devil took over. That actually subjected man into the state of defeat and failure. Man was ultimately faced with the the challenge of not living up to expectation. He was at the mercy of the devil and the devil cannot allow man to breath. That was a horrible state of man until Jesus came into the scene and paid for the redemption of mankind.
On the cross Jesus paid for everything, at His resurrection He restored mankind to the place of enthronement and dominion
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans chapter 8 verses 11)
When humanity is filled with divine power, there is no such trace of failure in the lineage of anyone who believes and embraces the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross. On the cross Jesus paid for everything, at His resurrection He restored mankind to the place of enthronement and dominion. Man was as though he was never deceived in the first place. Man became as victorious as he was before the fallen state.
Conclusion:
There is no such thing as failure to everyone who believes in Christ by accepting the finished work of Christ on the cross. And we know that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a failure. There is a quickening in the baptism of the Holy Spirit that overrule every trace of failure in the life of a believer.
