The deception of satan

6 – Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

7 – And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” (Job chapter 1 verses 6 to 7)

Satan came for a reason

We can realise from the scripture above that when satan stepped into the gathering of the sons of God, God had thought,

“You Lucifer! What brought you?”

“From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it,” satan  answered. That did not answer the question thrown at the devil by God Almighty. Satan came for a reason. He was after someone’s life but when the opportunity came for the devil to reveal his mind, he was not direct. He started beating about the bush.

God has a way of talking to humanity the end from the beginning

You see beloved, it is only God who is direct with humanity. Devil is never direct with humanity. It is only God that can show humanity the right path and its huge dividends that awaits anyone who is about to abide. He will also expose the wrong path and its consequences to anyone who will fall victim. God has a way of talking to humanity the end from the beginning. Let us trace back to buttress what I am saying.

16 – “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 – But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” (Genesis chapter 2 verses 16 to 17)

God also explained to man the repercussion if he ever dare to go contrary to God’s instruction.

You can see from the very beginning God has always been direct with humanity. There is nothing hidden in the perspective of God towards humanity. God explained to man why he should eat of these trees and why he should not eat of the other. God also explained to man the repercussion if he ever dare to go contrary to God’s instruction.

1 – “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 – And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 – But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 – And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 – For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 – And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 – And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.” (Genesis chapter 3 verses 1 to 7)

God also explained to man the repercussion if he ever dare to go contrary to God’s instruction.

Of course that never ended well in the path of man. The deception of the devil crumbled everything for humanity, eluded him from the beautiful life God has given him to live. Everything became sour at the deception of the enemy. No one can afford to yield to the deception of enemy, for all therein is contrary to God’s plans for humanity.

16 – “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

17 – And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;” (Genesis chapter 3 verses 16 to 17)

That is the devil deceptive scheme of work. You can see that satan encouraged Eve to eat the fruit without explaining to her the damnation. Satan presented the whole scenario as though there is no repercussion to all that debauched act. Of course man lived to regret yielding to the deception of the enemy.

Never you bargain or negotiate with the devil

This exactly what the devil has been doing to humanity till date. Especially the younger generation who are keen to be wealthy by all means without effort. Some of them have engaged in some evil activities for the sake of getting quick wealth which many never live to enjoy. Many actually became wealthy in exchange for their lives. They acquired wealth but their days on earth were shortened.

The gift of the devil can make rich but it adds sorrow. Terrible things have happened in the quest to make wealth and many never live to tell the story. Be aware that devil can never tell anyone the end of the path he or she is about to walk through. Devil is completely evil. It is God that is completely good. Never you bargain or negotiate with the devil. It can never end in pleasant mood. Satan is a liar and the source of all evil

Conclusion

Do not be deceived, satan is fully in its business of deception. Strive with all that is within your power never to yield to the deception of satan. The end of devil’s deception is always disastrous.
