4 steps to stir up the right attitude
I have a friend who on the course of our discussion once said to me that there was a day one of her lecturer walked into the class and asked them to write down one thing they like doing. She quickly tore out a sheet of paper and write.
“I like hurting people.”
“Why?” I asked. She could perceived the amazement from my tone.
“I am hurt, so I want everyone around me to feel what I was feeling,” she said.
“Who hurt you?” I quietly, asked.
“I was verbally hurt by my father. His words created a wound in my heart that everyone around gets to feel. I am happy when I hurt people.”
From her wounded heart preside her hurt over people. Because her heart is hurting, she ended up hurting people. She derived joy creating pains on people. She developed an attitude of hurting people and she thought that is the only way she can prove the vitality of life. Not until she embraced our Lord and master Jesus Christ Who healed her heart and gave her a whole heart that can love those around them without hurting them.
You see, there are people when they encounter the opportunity to change, they seize the opportunity yield their heart for a genuine transformation. But there are those who have vowed that they will not yield to change of attitude. Attitude is a choice. Just know it that whatever attitude you display this day, that you are the custodian of it.
