8 ways to fire up your passion
- You must understand you were chosen
“Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.” (Ephesians chapter 1 verses 4 AMP)
You have to get to know that you did not bargain your existence in the first place. Among many others who showed up you are the one chosen. What could make God Almighty chose you in the first place? God knows you more than you know yourself and He knows you are perfect for the responsibility you were made to carry out.
- You must understand you are precious in God eyes
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” (1 Peter chapter 2 verses 9)
What is it about you that you were able to be this precious in God’s eyes, that you were able to gain God’s interest more than others? You must understand that you were privileged to make it to this tournament. Yes, we all made it to this tournament and some day this tournament will come to an end. For the sake it is a tournament, you must give your best.
- You must understand that you are created by purpose
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah chapter 1 verses 5)
You were not created to occupy space. God is never a waster to waste such precious resources creating you. God actually deployed the best creating you to fit into your purpose in life. Everything needed for your purpose is bestowed in you. Because you are equal to your purpose, give out every thing it will take to accomplish your purpose.
- You must understand that you were created for responsibility
Jesus said, “The food that keeps me going is that I do the will of the One who sent me, finishing the work he started.”
There is a purpose why you were created and that purpose calls for responsibility. You must become a person of responsibility once you discover your purpose. Your passion should be becoming a person of responsibility even when you have not truly discovered your purpose in life. If your passion towards embracing responsibility is burning, you will discover your true purpose in life and live to fulfill it.
- You must understand how to prioritize your responsibility according to your passion.
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians chapter 1 verses 21)
In economics, there is what they call scale of preference. First thing first. One thing at a time. One achievement before the other. One success before another.
- You must understand you were created for God’s pleasure
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation chapter 4 verses 11)
You were created for God’s pleasure and it is in your power to live to make God happy that He made you in His image after His likeness and granted you an opportunity to be His representative here on the earth. This should fan your passion to constantly develop a right standing with God.
- You must understand to guard your passion towards accomplishing your responsibility jealously.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (1 Corinthians 15 verses 10)
You have to realise you are not alone in this journey of life. You have full grace to fulfil your course in life. On this note you may need some adjustment. If you want to keep the fire burning, you need more fire wood. You need to take off some friends and make new ones that will stir up your passion towards accomplishing your responsibility.
- You must understand that you have to finish well
7 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 – Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. (2 Timothy chapter 4 verses 7 to 8)
Pursue your passion towards accomplishing your responsibility with whatever you have. Whatever it will take to successfully accomplish your responsibility, go ahead and get it done. It is not just enough to discover your responsibility; it’s taking the ultimate steps to get it accomplished. You must finish well.
Conclusion
