Being focus is an attribute to humanity
Focus is one of the vital attribute God displayed when He stepped out for creation. God encountered challenges that came to disrupt His focus. You see, it was God’s responsibility at that moment to make sure He maintained His focus on creation. He never got distracted by the darkness that overwhelmed the earth.
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the water.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 2 KJV)
7 KEYS TO REMAIN FOCUSED AND TO DEVELOPING AN OBSESSION FOR YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
- Constantly review your responsibility. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8.)
- Seek wisdom and study hard to acquire knowledge for your responsibility. “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7.)
- Reject any distraction to your responsibility. “Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1.)
- Do not entangle yourself with project not related to your responsibility. “No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs – he wants to please his commanding officer.” (2Timothy 2:4NIV)
- Avoid communication that is not related to your responsibility. “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” (1Corinthians 15:33)
- Avoid any relationship that does not stir up your hunger of God’s presence and your obsession to accomplish your God-given responsibility. “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” (Proverb 13:20.)
“The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.” (Proverb 15:2)
7.Open your mind to books, Christian songs and messages that sharpen your memory towards your responsibility. “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8)
Long to be at places like gender fellowship, Christian meeting and seminars where you can always draw strength to accomplish your responsibility.
