Integrity is still the best policy
It is so horrible that we are faced with so strange situations that the trending statement is always if you can’t beat them, you have to join them. The question is, what is it that we can’t beat? What is it that we can’t defeat? Darkness! The fact remains that we have what it takes to beat them.
There is a saying by the lion in the midst of famine in the jungle, he said, “No matter the economic jeopardy he will never eat grass.” Yes, no matter the situation of things integrity still remains the best policy. Listen beloved, God cannot be emphasizing on a matter He has not handled before. That situation you faced and it is as though no one in this life has ever faced it, there are those that faced it and maintain their stand. Yes they keep their integrity not minding what the situation outcome will be.
If you can’t beat them, don’t join them
Here is the point, in Genesis chapter one verses one and two,
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
God was faced with the same option to join them by precede His leadership of the dark but He chosen never to. God standard of leadership remains God’s standard. And man been created and fashioned in the image and likeness of God has the capacity to enforce God’s kind of leadership. If we were to join them, how then can we proffer we are made in the image and likeness of God Almighty.
One of the greatest existence of humanity through the finished work of Christ is to eradicate the leadership of the dark. It will interest you to know that everything about the world system is the leadership of the dark. No matter how it is fashioned and designed to seem pleasant for humanity, will always have horrible ending.
Maintain the right standard even if it hurt
Any leadership style that is not patterned according God’s way and standard will always end questionably. On the quest to join them if you can’t beat is a proof one is not fully mature for leadership. Maintain the right standard even if it hurt is never an easy task but it pays greatly.
I remember the story of one of our member of Fulll Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International shared in 2021 regional convention during breakout sessions. He deals with motor parts at the federal capital territory Abuja. He said the government officials will come to his shop to buy spares parts, after he must have written invoice that ran in millions, these men will asked him to add some millions in the original amount which is going to be theirs.
Being a person of integrity pays
Looking at the whole process, he disclosed his stand that he does not fortify invoice. Those men will insist to convince him but it will be none avail. His boys will be there trying to remind him that others do the same and dance to the tune of the customers when the opportunity calls. He will insist on not fortifying the invoice. After a while those men will cancelled the invoice and walked to the next shop after his and obtained those products. He said, it grieved him seeing his neighbour’s supplying the goods that he would have been the person supplying them and making huge sum of money. He said it was not easy on him, that most of the time he is at the verge to dance to their turn but when he remembers how can he who leads in the light suddenly start leading in the dark.
If he does that right before his boys, how then will he stand to correct them? They can even go ahead and be doing the worse in his absence.
Finally when those men were no more in government, most of them started their own business on spare parts, then these men now chose to be coming to his shop and be paying goods. When he asked them why? They told him he is the only one they can trust. They told him that now they have started their own business, they believe he is the only one who can tell them the truth. Now he controls them all.
Conclusion
There is a huge benefit of not joining them.it pays greatly at the later end than joining them. Being a person of integrity pays greatly.
