9 keys how to plan effectively
- Develop a proper time management system. It is necessary to have and keep a daily time routine.
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis chapter 8 verses 22)
- Develop a prayer life. “When we pray, we commune with God…,” Dr David Ogbueli.
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (Luke chapter 18 verses 1)
- Develop a study life. “When we study the bible, God speaks to us,” Dr David Ogbueli.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua chapter 1 verses 8)
- Ask God for the wisdom.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (James chapter 1 verses 5)
- Develop your daily routine.
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm chapter 118 verses 24)
- Develop a daily detailed plan for the present and the future.
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” (Habakkuk chapter 2 verses 2)
- Develop a daily pursuit scene of your plan.
“Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;” (Job chapter 38 verses 12)
- Develop a detailed picture of a desired end.
“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” (Job chapter 8 verses 7)
- Avoid always being rigid and give room for flexibility.
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” (Philippians chapter 3 verses 13)
It is wise to start our planning with the Lord. For when we pray, we talk to God; and when we study God’s Word, He speaks to us. God’s heartbeat is to reveal to us His plan for our lives. God said,
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
We can always press into His plan for our lives by learning to spend time in the secret. The more we linger in His presence, the more things are made clearer to us.
