7 meaning of the communion of the Holy Spirit

  1. It means presence:

God the Father’s desire for us is that the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit will be with us.

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts chapter 2 verses 4)

 

  1. It means fellowship:

You do not need to pray to the Holy Spirit, you simply fellowship with Him. And you should seek that communion as you would seek water in the wilderness.

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” (1Corinthians chapter 2 verses 13)

 

  1. It means sharing together:

You pour out your heart and He pours out His. You share your joy and He shares His.

“For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;” (Acts chapter 15 verses 28)

 

  1. It means participation with:

The Holy Spirit becomes your partner.

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John chapter 14 verses 26)

 

  1. It means intimacy:

You will never experience a deep love with Christ until you know it with the Holy Spirit Who brings that intimacy. There is no other way, God has ‘poured out’ His love into our hearts ‘by the Holy Spirit Who was given to us’. You can’t love God without the Holy Ghost.

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans chapter 5 verses 5)

 

  1. It means friendship:

The Spirit longs to be your closest friend, someone with whom you can share the deepest secrets of your heart.

29 – Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30 – And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” (Ephesians chapter 4 verses 29 to 30)

 

  1. It means commander:

The Holy Spirit is the most important person on the earth, and the chief commander of the heavenly forces here on earth.

“And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” (Mathew chapter 12 verses 32)

 

Conclusion:

The Holy Spirit is like a captain,  a ruler, or a boss but a loving and friendly one. He must be allowed to rule in your personal affairs. Since Christ departed,  the Holy Spirit is in charge on death.
